DAMN OP is strong. Deadlift looks strong as hell. Also, I like how 275 rows are LIGHT.

They honestly did. It felt like 405 or 450, not 5 pps. I would have pushed out more reps, but I was freaked out that I got two reps so easy on a new PR just by changing method again, and was scared of pulling a muscle or something. It broke off the floor like it was nothing when I got a little bit of leg drive. I was actually going to just do a 3x5 with 4pps but it was so light on my first set that I asked one of the bros in the gym and he said "Mate if you are feeling strong like that don't let it go to waste... PR that ****." I agreed and went for it.

Ate a ton of pizza last night, but it was good and was nice given that most days I eat quite low fat. However my gut is sticking out above my belt in today's video. The upside of the video though is that my speed pulls are super fast and... I didn't realize my back had gotten that wide (noticed it in the mirror as I am walking back to the camera. :-O
Box squat
320x3x3
Speed pulls
295x6x2
One arm floor presses (first time ever trying this... it was very hard)
#90x3x5
Face pulls
225 (I found one of those blocks to add to the top of the stack) x3x10
Dumbbell rolling tricep extentions
#45x12 time to up the weight
#49x10
Incline curls
#40x2x8 performance decreasing but biceps throbing
Barbell holds (for grip strength)
315x2
Farmer's walks
Standing abe work

Speed work/dynamic work. Are you not up to date on WSBB/Louie Simmons stuff? It helps your 1rm.
Also the one armed floor presses are killing two birds with one stone... I notice my barspeed slows or my sticking point is in the middle, so they address this... and I have some balance/stability issues on bench sometimes... balancing these unilateral may have some transferance there. I'll probably do these whenever I do not feel like pressing with a bar during a workout.Last edited by JasonDB; 04-20-2012 at 03:23 AM.

I would try to get near 70% for speed work. Simmons says 50-60% is the effective range, but that's geared lifters. I always see westside guys say go over 60% for raw lifters because the carryover isn't there otherwise. Unless you are slow as hell like I started out on squat and even the bar slowed me down lulz.

It was done purely out of love for the Nut Misc peeps... I am tight with my money and dishing out my money on something I don't practically need isn't easy, however it has turned out to be something that was needed... as I really needed to see my problems with some of my lifts outside of watching them in the mirror. I feel it has been a valuable tool thus far.
I'm also feeling a bit more freedom doing full body more instinctively every day rather than going "oh doing pushing movements or pulling movements today... I planned on speed work but I feel strong, going to do speed work" and now as long as I get a squat, a press and a pull of some type in every day, and whatever accessories I feel the need for, it still yields everything I need but lets me really try out some new things such as the one armed floor press (damned you Erick, saw this in your routine saw the potential, had never done it, so gave it a whirl and it was really really hard... but I felt a sense of victory after having finished my sets), as my primary movements for the day.

Great workout today but exhausted me.
Box squats
320x3x3
Deadlift
405x5
515x2 got video, think my leg drive was weak on first rep... I almost passed out after this and had some minor Meneire's vertigo that passed after 5 mins of sitting
Bench... was really hard after this so tried to get my adjusted technique down of gripping tighter on the bar, spreading my feet more (per WSBB videos) but I struggled with the weight a bit after those pulls.
275x4
225x12 went for a backoff set as I just didn't feel like I could do another set with 275
Face pulls
225 (stack + block) x3x10
Tricep rolling extentions
#53x2x10 had to PR because the dumbbells I wanted were being used by someone for chest supported rows... this burned.
My left bicep tendon has been bothering me so didn't do incline curls went for hammers instead to change it up
Hammer curl, standing
#45x3x10
Light farmer's walks... too tired for anything more than walking around with 45 plates with handles in them
Standing ab work

That is how I be stylin... it is a skull with a snake wrapped around it, eagle wings and says "New York" on it. Not sure where I got it, I have a couple different ones. The t-shirt says Cthulhu on it (I am a nerd and an HP Lovecraft fan).
I should get one made that says "Sacrifice 2 Win" on it.... and "U mad brah?" on the back.

Solid lifts! That 515 went up easy, scary easy. I think you're right on the leg drive - would you get more if you got your butt down? What's with the rolling of the weight though? I've never seen that before
Also how do you do 225 x 12 while being @ 275 x4 that's nuts.www.xccellence.com

Was my setup, I had leg drive on the 2nd rep and it went up easier than the 1st. Honestly 600 for a single isn't far off with a little bit of work.
I've always been good at any type of high rep push. I've got a vid of 225x10 cgbp without a spotter, no failure, after doing heavy bench. Same with squats, I can rep 315 all day long.
I do the bar roll to 1) make sure the bar is hard against my shines when I break it off the floor, and 2) to put me into the motion of pulling back instead of up more, and get tight.
