I think so, as my bench has just flat out stalled and now that I am cutting my pressing in general is becoming more difficult (but those squats keep on going... probably because I am so far below what I could squat even as a natty originally). Volume benching will be good for my cut, and bench accessory work should keep the strength there. Once this cutting contest is over I can ease up a little and start working progression back up.
Also 3400 cals last night, a lot of bread and ice cream in there picked up some water weight and am 233 this morning. Might hit a buffet the night before these before pictures. LoL

Not really cheating as anyone else coming out of a bulk or maintence is holding extra water, I'm 3 weeks into a cut already. Then again not that I really need to make myself look fatter I have back rolls at the bottom of my v-taper. My fat distribution is heavily biased towards my lower back, ass, hips and upper hammies.

Diet Dr Pepper. I would say it put 2" on my waistline. I ate extra sodium last night (not overboard I do have MD... about 4,000mg) and today I weighed less and was tighter so that didn't work... it made me look leaner. However the diet soda really did the trick.... not that I really needed it... I have plenty of fat around my lower back and hips.
My befores are in the transformation thread now.
Also worth noting that I better avoid it the final week of the contest.Last edited by JasonDB; 05-24-2012 at 04:33 AM.

BW: 232.5 so now I start to gain some of the water I needed yesterday. Thus is life.
Day off from training, wife's birthday. Going to relax maybe do some things out with her today (her choice of what to do).
Tomorrow will be full contest mode.
Goals for the coming training week: Hit 230 lbs bw, try to get 405 for reps on the box squat. Regain my lost reps with 495 on the deadlift or even improve them. See if I can improve my push-press numbers.
Started a new log with a fresh mentality for the contest. This one is long and cluttered.
