    BUILD MUSCLE WHILE BURNING FAT (possible)

    Is it possible to build muscle while burning fat? Tom Venuto said to mix both weight training for building muscle and cardio for fat burning. He said if you just do cardio you can end up losing muscle (burning too much calories than you consume). To prevent muscle loss, he says add weight training which helps to both build and maintain muscle mass. So it is possible to get ripped / burn fat while building / maintaining muscle mass.

    Not to sure if its possible to "cut and bulk" at the same time. Only thing I know of is, being cut and building lean clean muscle.

    It is best to keep diet at a moderate level rather than extreme deficit and suffer with hunger and loss of muscle mass. I keep it to moderate level and burn more with cardio while weight training.

    I guess you can say that as long as you don't go above to high of a body fat % when bulking, and don't you lose some muscle mass when getting back to cutting? Or have I been told wrong?

    Its possible to lose fat and build small amounts of lean muscle mass at the same time but you have to have a very small deficit, and a medium to high body fat % to do this. If you mean Trying to build muscle while cutting from 7% to 6% then hell no.

    Not necessarily, which is why Tom Venuto says weight train to maintain / build muscle mass while doing cardio to melt the fat away.

    As if you'd waste your time with cardio, and yes cardio is catabolic when greater than around 45 minutes

    OP look up lactic acid training and protein consumption should be about 3 grams per lean mass kg body weight, you'll build muscle and cut at the same time.

    it is impossible to build muscle and lose fat at the EXACT same time. that would require being in an anabolic (caloric surplus) and catabolic (deprived of calories) state at the same time. It IS possible to lose fat and build muscle in the same day however, but it only really happens to a big degree in beginners with good training/diet. You hit a wall VERY quickly though where it becomes near impossible to do both at the same time. With PERFECT training and diet you can do it but neither very fast hence why it is better to split it up or just get really lean once then slow bulk forever. If your trying to do both in the same day then that is pretty much the only case where meal timing matters (example: Intermittent fasting diet, fasted cardio in the AM. Feeding period, then lift. Eat after lifting.) If your heavy on the tech then none of this applies and you can eat whatever the **** you want and pump yourself full of cuttting agents and gain 5 pounds a week while losing 1% BF because your body is in such an anabolic state from the hormones and your muscles take in protein like OP's girlfriend takes in BBCs.


    all that being said you can easily gain strength while cutting hard, with good training and diet.

    Clean bulk.

    The misc reckons that bulking with any type of food gives them the RIGHT nutrients. It is not physically possible to get the right nutrients from the wrong foods.
