Is it possible to lose love handles and lower stomach "flab" while still eating a lot and mainly focusing on adding mass? The reason I ask is that I began seriously weight training last August, and decided to start with cutting the little fat I did have. I got kind of cut but still have very noticeable love handles and flab. So is there any way of losing fat while bulking up still and eating a lot of calories?

I really hate these. Dude, I used to have the exact same problem. Its unsightly and embarassing. To make it even worse, I had relatively large nipples for a guy so taking off my shirt just made everyone look with a stupid face.
Anyway, those days are behind me. Basically I lost much of the access weight I had and mu moobs and nipples shrank. I think it had something to do with the body fat causing estrogen or something like that. Here's what you do:
- Cut out all sugars and simple carbohydrates;
- Drink 8 glasses of water per day;
- Sleep a solid 8 hours a day;
- Hit the gym and ask your trainer to get a resistance training package done for weight loss.

The only thing I can think of (im in the same baot with love handles but im cutting) Is to get in the majority of your carbs before 6p.m. Lower your fat intake and up yoru protein intake a little.
It might also help to eat more often to rev up your metabolism like I eat every 3 hours but yu could eat ever 2.
While bulking do slow cardio (walking to a brisk walk) on a treadmill with an incline.

whoa man lol calm down...and I do think IIFYM is good - in moderation. The majority of your diet should come from whole, unprocessed, nutrient dense foods; for health purposes if nothing else. However, fitting in various treats here and there that fit your macros and that you enjoy is completely fine and does nothing for body composition. There have actually been studies where people eat a diet of ONLY junk / fast food like twinkies and mcdonalds yet still lose weight because at the end of the day its always: calories in vs. calories out. So sir, please, get YOUR **** straight

Im right untill someone discredits me. Im tired of all the people on here reading some **** from someone who has more reps than them or reading something a pro says or that was written in a magazine or on a forum or the latest craze in the diet world and thinking that thats the only way to do it. Yes it is possible to lose fat while bulking, It takes longer but if someone is willing to go through the trouble to do then by all ****ing means let them.

The only one of those that hold any (ANY) relevance to this is the metabolism one. The first was done on a low calorie diet (which OP is not). The third one is done with fat asses. YOu wanna know why I dont listen to ANY study done with overweight people?? because there body comp. is different than ours. There hormones are dif. from ours. the list goes on but its cold and its getting hard to type.
So sorry OP eat WHENEVER you want.

Oh wait, you're still being a dip**** who doesn't understand how science works. I'm not sure how you can take a study saying that late night carb feeding promotes leanness and say that it doesn't disprove the idea that late night carb feeding promotes fatness.

No variables are fine. What im saying is 95% of studies done take it too the extreme. Do you realize how many of those studies are disproved after a month?? I dont quote them anymore is what im saying. If I've tried something and it worked then it will work for other people. Not everyone, but someone it will work for.
