are there any brahs out there who can actually go heavy and do atleast 8 reps consistently?
because last 4 months i did a modified 5x5 for bodybuilder split and now i am doing german volume training (the ten sets method).
i always think that i will leave my ego at the door but it feels so FUKIN PATHETIC doing close grip bench presses with 77 lbs for 10x10 .....
while others my age do like 160-180 lbs close grip benches NEXT TO ME, even though our general arm size is very similar.
BODY HOW DO YOU WORK!!

I am nearing 15 inch arms VERY soon (yes i know its not alot but hey, lets not count misc standards here),
but my strength is absolutely horse shiet.
I can only do deadlifts for 300 lbs for reps, thats fine but other excercises are pathetic.
My guess is that I have been creatine loading so well that a lot of water is in my muscle cells, thus making my arms looking a lot swoler than an actualy muscle is...........?
just a guess

Always leave the ego at the door imo.
I push 220 bench for 6 and have never gone heavier. There's dudes at my gym that are pushing well above that, but I know personally that if I go above that right now my form will start getting sloppy and I'll begin to incorporate my delts too much.
I never pay attention to what anyone else is doing in the gym though, I couldn't care less. It's about what's working for me in there.Big natty nutsac

Similiar story here. I look stronger than I actually am but started doing GVT recently and feel stronger with more endurance. Prior to GVT I would start to struggle on the 4th or 5th rep and just barely and I mean barely finish the 10th. I don't mind the struggle but at least let it start around the 8th rep. Hoping GVT will push me to a new level.
