    What should I add into my Protein Shake?

    Is there anything you guys recommend to add into my Protein Shake to make it take better? Or is it best to have it without any extras?

    Are you bulking?

    I like to put Waxy Maize in mine, its a pure carbohydrate source. I only have it because I can't eat meals after working out untill over an hour later. It adds a sweet sugary taste and is actually really disgusting by itself but mixes nicely with my protein shake.

    Other than that most other powders I use don't have much flavour at all to contribute.

    i generally dont add extras to my protein (i like to enjoy it). Although when i do i normally blend in 1 cup raw oats, 2TB natty pb, 3 egg whites, 5g creatine and well 1 cup skim milk. I make a lean gainer shake

    Honey does wonders for sweetness. PB adds a lil spin on the taste. Nutella (sp?) is pretty good too to add.

    Add in spenda if you feel like you need it sweeter.

    Use Soymilk if you want a thicker texture, I use Silk Unsweetened soymilk when I want a large shake and keep it thick texture.

    I add soymilk in mine with 5g creatine that way I never have to ask if I've taken my creatine for the day

    I like to put wheat germ in my chocolate shakes. If I know I won't be able to eat for a while sometimes I add a scoop or two of oats ground in a coffee grinder.

    I don't really add to my shakes unless it is milk and maybe some natty almond or peanut butter. I do how ever make brownies and mix protein into my greek yogurt.

    I'd stay away from the brain tumor causing Splenda and the estogen soy, good ol' oats and natural peanut butter like these guys are talkin' worked for me as well. Give those a try I added alot of good weight with those.
