So i went to the doctors today (was just talking to him) and had this weird feeling supposedly called autonomous sensory meridian response, i used to have these happen quite often when i was younger in primary/early high school maybe once or twice a week and had totally forgotten about them until today, for unawares there is just a really strong tingling sensation along your scalp and a huge sense of euphora/happiness + numbness of your body.
For me ive realized the trigger 99% of the time was always when somebody was helping me, ie in class when a friend/teacher or someone was writing on my paper showing me how to do something ( no homo), or drawing on your body, stuff like that. this website here has a list of potential triggers : http://anti-valentine.hubpages.com/hub/ASMR
just wondering if any miscers have experienced this before, and what triggers it/how often. fyi ive had this happen no more than once a year or so since i was younger

This happens to me all the time, wouldnt say it is a brain orgasm or anything. A eurphoric feeling isnt the way to describe it IMO. I get it when I hear multiple people speek at the same time. Kind of like my brain short circuits trying to comprehend the two conversations, and just kinda freaks out for a second.
I rep back...

Can't remember the last time its happened but I can agree with some of the triggers you mentioned. I distinctly remember it happening once when I was in 1st grade and a kid was scrapping dirt off my shoe (don't ask why) and the longer she messed with my shoe the longer the feeling persisted, and when she stopped it was like a drug comedown.

I get intense ASMR when people are helping me out. Like when they are flipping through my book or whatever. I get it when I go to the store and am next to someone looking at the items. I watch Youtube videos of medical physicals and stuff to help me fall asleep. **** works wonders.

Wow so unaware as to what this is. These feelings you get have everything to do with spirituality. You mad I can induce them quite easily. Start meditating and learning OP. It is called kundalini look it up. Most people experience kundalini rising when they are young because there conscious is still young and un-affected by today's society.
The feeling happens when you just totally let go, you experience pure sensation and joy with no attachments or distortions. The tingling and joyous feeling is just the beginning, wait till your kundalini awakens.

SHOW AND TELL in faurking elementary school would trigger this like no other. Can vaguely remember it in middle school too. Felt so good I would just wanted to sleeeep and never wanted it to end
I also used to love getting haircuts, would trigger this and weird enough, going to the dentist. I used to love it, now not so much cause I don't get that feeling anymore
