Personally id say go with a MazdaSpeed3.. 263 HP (stock) although its front wheel drive, still extremely fun. 2.3 L Turbo


Or a GTi. Very quick and light weight. 200HP stock. But there is no turbo lag. So you feel the turbo throughout the gears

i would have it shipped most likely. only driven manual in foreign country w/o virtually no one on the road, wouldn't feel comfortable driving it 1000 miles home

Great responses so far. I should mention that hatch backs make me want to vomit, and I want a 2 door, don't really care about back seats either. I hate having more then one other person in the car.

I love the cobras too, just would be hard to find one that wasn't driven to ****.

not really. they were expensive cars, kids didnt have them therefor they were for the most part taken care of. maybe they were modded and stuff but the majority of people that had them were 25 and over.

Yeah I use to have a Supra that ran 1050rwhp on race gas. Believe it or not I built this car by the time I was 20, owned it since 18. You couldn't give this thing any gas around a turn or you'd die.

I now have a 590rwhp Supra on pump gas. Front and rear struct bar, good alighment, and a set of good coil covers. It handles really good.

I prefer a car that can take turns really well but still has enough power to beast almost all cars in the straight on the road. Even on the track I've beast some other impressive cars.



I'd get something RWD for sure, if not then AWD. Stay away from front wheel drive cars they are a waste of time.

E55 amg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

E55 is a straight line car, its really heavy. Feels like a boat around turns.
my brother owns a 2005.


they are crazy fast though, especially for the stock 469 hp... and on top of that they have more torque.
with a simple ECU flash it can make 520bhp.

1050 rwp Supra? I would jizz if you revved that in my immediate vicinity. My knowledge of cars is decent. I know all the engine components, terms, functions ect. Front wheel drive is **** so yeah there isn't a chance at that

What are you mostly interested in? And import specifically?


If you were into European cars E46 M3 are pretty nice/quick. You could probably find a E55 AMG as well if you were around close to $23k. E55 is a monster and nice luxury car. They were like 100k retail.

For import its hard to say. I'd say S2000 but those cars are pretty small. Maybe an EVO 10 or 9.

s2k is one of my favorite cars, I'd like an import preferably, under 3200 with a power to weight of at least 12 pounds/hp, takes corners well, easily modifiable, reliable

Buy a pre-owned BMW 328. 2006+. Or 325. Or get an Acura TL. I own one. Low
Maintenance and decently fast. They're fairly affordable too.

Its already been said, get a 03-04 Cobra, or get a g35 coupe. Cant go wrong with either one of those.

Good luck finding an unmolested version for less than $20k, although it bests everything listed so far

I had a 2004 GTO, blue/blue, 6 speed the interior had people in awe. Look it up. You won't get more car for the money, they're underappreciated. I paid $13,000 for mine in 07 with 35K miles, it had to go since they were offering 12,5 for the trade in AFTER putting 50k miles on it. If you treat them well they will be appreciating in value, they have strong collector potential. Not to mention you'll find them for $17-18k with 20-30k miles on them.

Go with EVO or STi/WRX then. Great cars. Already turbo. Extremely large aftermarkets. Very easily modified.

I've always liked the EVO 9/8 and the 2001-2007 WRX/STi. Can't go wrong there.
I don't really care for the EVO 10 or the 2008-2012 WRX/STi.

Your first turbo AWD car will make you a firm believer. I started with a Gen 2 Eclipse GSX way back when, solid car.

I know you said 2 door but if you want luxury met with American muscle and be able to take it on the twisties then this is what you need.



If you want a 2 door. I recommend any late 90's early 00's muscle car (Camaro, mustang, trans am)

I wouldn't go for a newer pre 5.0 mustang and you couldn't afford a new 5.0 or new Camaro.

I wont even suggest a Chrysler product.
