Older misc: Does life go downhill after college? (partying, dating, sex, social life)

I guess I've been lucky, the group of friends I hang out with family's all own their own business and real estate, so we all make good money, and not work for the "man". We go to Vegas probably twice a year, and and take other trips probably another 3 to some other places. It's also nice not being a poor college kid. My friends CC bill is about 2 grand a month just in alcohol, and pays it off every month.

2. You can still have good time in college even if you just commute.

3. There is nothing appealing about college parties when you wake up drunk in a strange room, covered in questionable fluids.

4. The point of college is to work hard and get a degree. Fun will come later.

I graduated college at 21. Life has been great ever since. Instead of paying to go to school, you get paid to work, 8 hours and done, no homework. My free time is mine. Dating life is fantastic, no one controls me. On bad days, I can always look at my bank account on line and smile.

Find a job you like and pays enough to make you comfortable. Don't get married young and don't tolerate drama from women. That will be your biggest headache.

What do you do for a living? All normal jobs are boring as ****. (non normal=being a successful dj/musician that plays and travels around, taking pics of supermodels, a pornstar, whatever)

In college and having the time of my life. This will be my last year so I'm trying to enjoy it as much as possible.

I'm definately not worried though. I hate school work with a passion. I'm excited for a new challenge as well. I feel like I've hit a new level of maturity.

In 2 years, I see myself in Vegas with my boys having an even better time then I did in college. Something that I wouldn't be able to do now...

yeah slows down obviously, but has benefits....first couple of years after you start to pay down debts then you have some bank to play with...free time to play with, other than work deadlines which are still better than finals or midterms...the only real down side is finding a social circle as well as women..more than half the people you meet will be married, have kids, or in LTRs and wont want to do **** .you need to be more open and put yourself out there..post college i started working out, playing volleyball, rockclimbing, golf etc....pretty much you just got to look for people looking to do **** and be open to what you find.

life does suck if the only thing you enjoy doing is "partying". for people with real interests and hobbies, life gets better ( unless you get married or have children).

Nah man, enjoy college because it doesn't get better after. I get one weekend off a month from work, and because ive got loans from going to college/car payments and other bills it can be hard to go out and have a good time. I still manage to get out sometimes during the week but most people I know have normal jobs and work all week.

It's not all bad though don't get me wrong. I now have a girlfriend so not foreveralone thank god and I manage to get out and do stuff a lot but it is a lot harder than it was in college. It's also much easier going to class hungover than it is going to work. juuuus sayin lol

I gotta believe life after college is better if you work hard and are successful at what you do. Let's face it, in college most of us still belong to our parents/family. Without them we wouldn't be there. Once you're working and have a good job you finally come into your own and are a man in your own right. What guy wouldn't want that?

No. I actually feel like I have even more freedom since graduating with my bachelor's. More opportunities are open to you. You have more options. As for partying? I've never been big on partying. I'm sure those of you who get bombed every single weekend will have more trouble finding parties every weekend because people grow up and start working towards their goals instead of getting bombed every weekend.

If you have goals in your life though I think life gets even better after college. It's when you can truly start pursuing some of those goals I feel like.

And if your goal is to get slammed and party every weekend, well, seriously man get some actual hobbies. After awhile it's not cool to be that 30 year old guy looking for a good frat party to attend.

So far from the misc the consensus I hear is this:

- life after college goes down hill in terms of social life and dating
- in college you are surrounded by beautiful women who are easy, after college you only run into single moms and fatties
- social life is hard to maintain
- parties after college just flat out stink, there aren't many hot girls, hard to get laid, hard to enjoy yourself, etc.

I won't be having a good social life or anything in college mainly because I commute to college (living at home). When I transfer it will only be for my final three semesters or so, thing is I will be too late to enjoy all the partying stuff. I was hoping to move to NYC or Los Angeles but apparently there is no point in being successful or anything because even as a rockstar, apparently a frat guy at a big university will still enjoy better parties than you.

I think it's that your direction in life changes (at least for most people)

When I was young getting drunk, social life, parties and clubbing mattered.

Now that I'm old, with a house, very happily married and a rather large savings I could care less about parties, clubbing and people. I'd rather take the $100-200 that a night of drinking costs and spend another night travelling and not wake up with a hangover.

I'm actually going back to college as a full time student this fall. Really looking forward to it.

Some may look at this like it's no fun, but I did the same when I was a kid. I had fun when I was younger, but right now I'm absolutely loving life. It's all what you make it.

Now, if you are old with no friends, have a job that you hate (or worse, have one that pays **** too), have debt, and just generally suck at life....your college days will be the best days of your life. (sad)

The keys to being happy after college:

1. Don't marry a skank. Marry a girl that is classy and that isn't a Biach. If you can't find that just stay single.
2. Get a job doing what you LOVE. Not what your just good at. If you are good at math but you hate it, you will be spending 1/3 of the rest your life doing something you hate. If you get a job doing something you love doing you'll never work a day in your life.

Can do real **** like buy cars, houses, etc. No schoolwork, and you live life according to how hard youre willing to work.

The stakes are higher, but the reward is greater. You can either succeed and ball hard, or screw up and be a bigger loser than you were in college.

Speaking of losers, that **** is judged by the car you drive and how much money you make. Which means the nerdy kids make out better than the cool ones more often than not.

Social life after college becomes almost non existent if you are not extremely careful. Your circle of friends will all go their separate ways as you all land jobs, move away, and get into relationships. You are no longer surround by thousands of energetic like-minded people, so making friends becomes much more difficult. Most likely, your adulthood "friends" will consist of people from your work whom you mildly get along with. Girls are not as loose and happy go lucky as they start to realize their biological clock is ticking and search out stable relationships and marriage. If you are lucky enough to land a good job when you graduate, it soon becomes your life. lol at thinking you will be working only 40hrs a week if you want to be successful. They money is nice, but you have little time or energy to enjoy it after working your tail off all week. The weekend dorm parties soon turn into low-key Friday nights at the bar catching up with 1 or 2 old buddies or your new work "friends", and Saturday lunches with them and their new girlfriends/wives.

Enjoy it while you can, younger bros. Most people instantly turn into boring recluses the second they graduate, and it becomes increasingly harder to find a social circle who knows how to let loose and have a good time.

Too much real life.. this is what is slowly happening to me now.. and im depressed as phuk
