Escape from Planet Fitness
Welcome
Thank you to the Promera folks for asking us to log this product. I, bamazav, have used and logged Con-cret before and love it. Talking with MHL, we are both excited to have this opportunity to wear the Gluta-tren out. Our goals are simple, get bigger and stronger and have fun doing so.
This is an odd week for the both of us as we start our log. MHL is away on a trip and due back on Wednesday and I leave on Wednesday and am due back on Friday. That said, I will kick off the log the first of this week and then MHL will keep things rolling the second half of the week and together we will rock it from Saturday on.

In the Blue Corner
Welcome to our Log. I am bamazav, David, and am from Virginia Beach, Virginia. I am a husband, of 25 years, a father of 24 years and a Pastor for almost 20 years. A proud parent of 2 girls and 2 boys. My oldest is about to be awarded her Masters in Nursing (May11, 2012), the two boys are students at The University of Alabama and my youngest, a junior in High School here in Virginia Beach.
I am on the left, Baker on the right is ready to run the Shamrock 8K
In late 2007 the Doc gave me the choice, to lose weight or start Cholesterol meds. I went with the weight loss and started my journey, losing about 35 lbs in 15 weeks. During this process, I got hooked on weight training. While, I am not to the stage and development of my log mate, MHL, I desire to build a body like his. I am currently receiving training advise, in addition to the great logs I follow, from another Promera user, Bo_Flecks and am following the BoScience protocols.
Because of my sometimes odd schedule, I try to train in the mornings. This sometimes makes my supplementation interesting. That, however, will not hold me back. Even now, I am taking my first sips of Gluta-tren, Wild Berry. I must say, the taste is quite good, but more on that later. This week, due to an out of town business trip, I will be training Monday AM, Tuesday mid day and then on Saturday. Enough Rambling from me, time to get to work, it is LEG day you know.David, a 56 year old pastor, husband and father.

4-23-12 Dog House Training
Leg Work
This training partner would get me booted from Planet Fitness, even before they heard my squat grunts!
Pre-stuff
45 minutes prior to training - 2 Scoops of Pineapple Con-cret mixed with 1 scoop of Trutein chocolate and 8 oz Calorie Countdown 2%
15 minutes Prior - 1 scoop of Lemon - Lime Beta-Cret
15 minutes Prior began the process of sipping 1 scoop of Wild Berry Gluta-Tren
Warmup
5 minutes on recumbant Bike
8 x 45 Squat - just for the stretch
Working Sets
NOTES
Today was my first day using the full panel of Promera products. I have been using Con-cret for a while, have tried Beta once before but have never used Gluta-tren. I found day 1 to be both enjoyable and successful. The tingling lasted a whole lot longer than usual for me, but it was not annoying, kinda felt good. The holds on the leg extensions created a burn at the end of the first three sets and then it was like everything kicked in and I found a new strength with no burn.
The taste of each product is good. I have long been using the Con-cret and love it mixed with some chocolate protein, kinda makes a dessert.
The Beta-Cret was light not too sweet and not too tangy. Enjoyable.
The Gluta-tren was a tad on the sweet side, even though I probably had too much water mixed in.
I was able to work fairly quick with my slowest sets being the squats.
Squats - added 5 lbs from last squat session
Good Mornings - completed all 5 sets too easily, will add weight next time
Leg Extensions - added 5 lbs. Felt like rubber afterwards. I used a slight lean back and then about 1.5 second hold at the top of each rep.
GHR - The first three sets had a nice rhythmic decline, causing me to really feel the work in my hams.
Due to my travels this week, I will be doing Shoulders and traps tomorrow during Lunch. I will do Chest/Back and Arms on Saturday.
MHL and I are both music lovers. I can't speak for MHL, but my tastes are all over the place. It is not uncommon for me during a session to flip between 4 -5 pandora channels or albums depending on my mood. Here is a sample of today's music.

MHL - Intro Post
We are happy that you have stumbled across this journal, but we are not particularly concerned with your happiness.
We assume that a few folks will pass through due to their interest in fitness, but it's likely that we don't care one way or another about your fitness,
It could be that someone may stop by for the lulz or for a modicum of entertainment value. However - you have probably guessed - that it is the least of our concerns if you leave here entertained.
If we are doing this thing right, then we hope to leave a few folks feeling uncomfortable, or perhaps, slightly disturbed.
While we are glad to be more fit than we were when we first began, we are not primarily in search of fitness.
And certainly we are both glad to have a smaller waistline than in years past, but that is not the main thing either.
If we are on the right path, then we hope that some people leave this place feeling convicted.
Maybe one or two people will feel the weight of mediocrity upon their shoulders, dragging them down towards the bottom of a watery abyss.
Perhaps a couple of folks will finally see that weight lifting, in it's purest form, has always been about more than just moving weight.
That choosing the path of the Iron Athlete is no mere hobby, but rather a way of life.
We push hard. Maybe not as much poundage as you, but as much as we can, which is all that really matters.
We have to.
Beyond the constraints of pain or age or injury, lies the promise of progress.
Progress of the mind and the body.
It doesn't come easy, but with enough guile, effort, and time, it comes.
Our goal is no more or no less than this.
To slowly, but surely, forge something new with each and every day under the bar.
Brief Iron Bio

Bamazav has posted a good summary on our run of Gluta-Tren. I will share my thoughts on this supplements as I move through the workouts and at the end of the log. Thanks to Promera Sports for allowing us to put this product to the test. Trust me; I will put it to the test under harsh conditions."First train the mind, then the body."

Welcome glad to have you on board.
Thanks for stopping by. WE LOVE to have fun and no lunk alarms here!
Brother John, wouldn't be a log without you.
Hey Will, you got me hooked on the Promera products, You had best be a regular visitor here. Don't know if I told you or you saw, I was approved to teach a seminar on starting a fitness ministry in your church. Haven't seen what day I will be teaching, but either June 20 or 21 at the convention center in Louisville, KY I hope to have a room full.
Welcome gixxer. This phase for me has me running some volume. I am really enjoying it, though at the moment I have some mild hamstring and glute DOMS.David, a 56 year old pastor, husband and father.

4-24-2012 Dog House Training
Shoulders and Traps
Goal today, continue the process of building great caps
Prestuff
1 hour prior - scoop of Truetien, 1 banana, 1 cup skim milk, 2 scoops of Pineapple Con-cret
15 minutes Prior - Scoop of Lemon Lime Beta-Cret
Prior and during - Scoop of Gluta-tren and 20 oz of water, one 8 oz refill during session.
Warm up
Tube shoulder warm up
10 x 10 DB OHP
Shoulder dislocates
Working Sets
NOTES
Session went fairly smoothly. I decided last week to begin working on my overhead work while standing. The only problem I had today was with the side laterals. A shooting pain in my medial delt with each rep, until I lowered the weight back down.
Standing DB OHP - added 3 lbs from last time. I will keep weight here until I can hit 10 across
Front Raises - added 3 lbs here also. I will keep weight here until I can do 10 across without any body movement
Side Laterals - added weight then went back down. See above
BB Shrugs - Last week added 30 lbs. Kept weight here. Will add weight next week
DB Hammer Shrugs - First set seemed hard, then the rest were crazy easy
PROMERA OBSERVATIONS
As I stated in my previous logs, I am sold on Con-cret. No bloating and great taste.
Beta - Cret - today's focus A
Today's energy - A
Strength - A
Gluta-tren
Taste is great. I have to fight not chugging it down quickly. Sipping it almost seems a tragedy.
Recovery was very quick, enabling me to move quickly today. While I have some DOMS from yesterday's leg session, they are mild compared to the past.
I leave in the morning for Grand Rapids. I will be back Friday night. Next training session will be Saturday. If possible, I will do some cardio while I am gone. I will be on, checking out everyone's journals, just won't be training again until Saturday.David, a 56 year old pastor, husband and father.

The program calls for "Endurance Phase" training this week, but after an extended break I just needed to feel some significant weight here and there and expend some effort. So, the broad outline of the plan was in place, but much was driven by instinct.

Machine Preacher curls
110 x 10
125 x 10
140 x 9+1
--------------------------------
Impressions:
The iron calls...and finally, I can answer! The break was good. While I was obviously thinking about the return to the gym from time to time, I was still able to back away and successfully complete a "walk away" deload. No sneaking in workouts at some local Bally's or something lame like that this time around. I did a couple of hikes and a cardio session, and that was about it. I had some mild right knee soreness after the last front squat session, but that cleared up in a couple of days, and I had no complaints by the end of the week.
Strength was decent today. I had Jeffs out of the rotation for a while, but they are about where they should be, even though I am adjusting to the form again. Back strength is gradually returning to baseline levels again, and bum shoulder continues to rebound nicely as I introduce standard grip DB bench work again.
I'll be tightening up the diet again this week and will continue in the mild body fat reduction mode at least until mid-summer. I still don't have a replacement camera yet, so I'll probably hold off on the true progress pics until the end of the so-called diet, but prior to the next big weight gain push in the Fall.
Finally, during my travels, I had a couple of friends comment on my recent size gains, so that's really all I need to know for right now; the train is running in the right direction. But the devil is in the details, and that's what I'll be addressing once I do nail down some decent pics.
Supplement Notes:
Too soon for any real insights, but no mixing issues with Gluta-Tren today, and my initial impression of the flavor was positive. More to follow on this front..."First train the mind, then the body."
Made from all-natural products since 1968...no gear, no HRT, no prohormones.
