Great for cooking, it's got a high smoke point.
Great for frying some shrimp in, even better if you dip the shrimp in egg, then roll them in unsweetened coconut flakes and fry them.
Awesome in my morning coffee with some chocolate protein powder.
Be absolutely sure it's Cold Pressed, Extra Virgin. The cheap stuff is usually leftovers extracted with solvents, which leaves you with a pile of fat devoid of nutrients and the arterial clogging properties of superglue.
I've been anxious to try some red palm oil myself.
If you guys haven't seen this guide to fats, it's a very good (and easy) read. http://www.t-nation.com/free_online_...ts_made_simple

Thanks brah, I didn't realize that the quality would matter that much. I just saw that the only ingredient was coconut oil and bought it.

From the product description, it looks ok. Almost too good for the price, but hey it might be accurate. I hope so. I'll buy some if this turns out to be real.
Vitacost Extra Virgin Certified Organic Coconut Oil Description
Multi-purpose oil made from certified organic coconuts.
What is coconut oil?
Coconut oil is natural substance obtained from fresh coconuts. It’s versatile and can be used as a butter substitute, baking ingredient or as a high-heat cooking oil. It’s also popular for skin/body/hair purposes.
Extra virgin coconut oil is extracted using a process that retains more biologically active components from the coconut fruit, like polyphenols.
How does coconut oil support health
Approximately 60 percent of coconut oil is comprised of medium-chain triglycerides (MCTs), but, unlike other triglycerides (which mainly contain long chain fatty acids), MCTs may be beneficial to human health.*
Why choose Vitacost Coconut Oil Extra Virgin?
Made from certified organic coconuts.
Cold pressed without heat or chemicals.
Extracted using a process that retains more biologically active components like polyphenols.
Longer shelf life.
Superior quality at a fraction of the cost of other brands of coconut oil on the market.

Started Keto again a few days ago, decided to buy some coconut oil, they didn't have Spectrum's Cold Pressed coconut oil, just expeller pressed, so I decided to pick it up until I get a chance to go to Whole Foods. I was hoping for at least a hint of coconut flavor in this, but it seems on par with Lou Ana's nasty ass product. I am disappoint. Mostly in myself.
Well, what else is open? Besides, your mouth? When you're like kissing on some gay dude. And like, holdin' his like muscles 'cause his arms just are like wrapped around you. And you feel like so safe... 'cause your like... you know... not that you're gay or nothin' but God you just wanna like bury yourself in his chest and just live there forever... - ATHF
