brb have time to get your notebook, pencil/pen and other materials out before class starts
brb get into a learning state of mind
brb picking almost ANY seat you want
brb most front seats are open
brb being surrounded by other students that also have a positive "go-getter" attitude
brb being able to converse with said students, who probably are more academically successful than your average student
brb being able to chat with your instructor before class, get to know him better, find out what the lesson plan is going to be, etc...
Bring an Mp3/iPod?
brb listen to music that will prepare your mind better for learning
Have a laptop, or the classroom is equipped with PC/Mac's?
brb check the class website
brb bring up class notes on the screen
brb misc before class
brb being successful

when you start taking real classes, it's going to be 15 people in a room that seats 40, kid. What time you show up to class is going to have no effect on where you get to sit.
