Hey, I got a good question for everybody. Does anybody workout when their sick? I don't mean like dieing kinda of sick, I mean the flue or cold and you have a fever and headache yadda yadda...that kinda sickness? Personaly, I hate missing gym days and if I SICK I wont go but if I feel as if I'm GOING to be sick within a day or two, I'll go to the gym but I wont go when I'm sick. What are your thoughts and opinions?

if you ABSOLUTLY think you cant make it through a workout, then dont go. but if you are just feeling..... ahh. a little sick, then i would say workout. when it comes to lifitng and putting on mass" less is more"( to a certain extent), but if you just skip the workout cause you are sick, this could lead to a mental dilimea where you start making up excuses to go lift. and thats something i cant stand.

if you got a little cold or somethin minor, you can lift. just take it easy a bit. but if its the flu or somethin, you should take a time off & get better first.

Yeah rip the chances decrease and stuff. I havent been sick since 20 months ago because of serious training got sick here and there though but the point is if you happen to become sick you dont go near the weights.
1) You become to weak to do anything
2) Possibility of giving something to others when not necessaryMuscles

if you just have runny/stopped up nose, then sure go ahead and lift...
if you are a little bit sicker than a runny nose, but still not a flu, you could go lift, but i wouldn't advise it
you could go and do lighter weights, etc... but i don't think it would help very much...
if you have all out flu definently don't go lift, geesh

Lifting while sick is definetly not a good idea..
first off, psychologically, you go and lift and are not at the top of your game or strongest, you have a bad workout and feel like ****. I pride my self on the intensities of my workouts, but when im sick, im not as strong and cant concentrate as well, and then i feel like **** the rest of the day.
pysiologically: When you are sick your immune system is hurt, more free radicals are floating around your body. When you lift, you release free radicles, the two work together synergistically to really screw up your recovery time.

LOL ppl I wasn't dying from measles or something.. I just had some cold , stuffy nose and throat a bit.. nothing bad I felt the same as I usually did.
It just felt good because outside was freezing cold and when I came inside it got very warm and I felt warmed up while I was working out well, felt cozy and good environment especially when I was looking outside of the window at how cold it is.. I dont know it was just some moment there I had which felt kind of good..
Just a slight cold / stuffy nose / throat!! nothing serious I felt exact same way as I do when I am healed(like I am now).
LOL

agreed, but one thing to that....... its been proven that you can psychologically you can make yourself think things and believe things. lets say you are sick one workout, then come leg day........ your not feeling up to it, you start "becoming" sick, and a REAL SICKNESS starts to occur, which is called laziness!

never lift when you're sick. it hurts your motivation and makes you feel worse.
"Sometimes you just feel tired, you feel weak. And when you feel weak you feel like you just wanna give up. But you gotta search within you and try to find that inner strength and just pull that **** out of you and get that motivation to not give up and not be a quitter no matter how bad you just wanna fall flat on your face and collapse." - Eminem
