OK. Thing is 95% of people who complain about this kind of stuff are envious and greedy. I suppose I jumped to conclusions about your argument because I don't have all day to read it. My bad op. Yes this is a loophole that maybe should be closed, but at the end of the day EVERYONE pays too many taxes and all this type of talk seems to accomplish is more government interference, taxation, and suppression of liberties.

Tax codes how do they work? We don't know so let's just attack a guy because we can't grasp the concept...wait wut?
and oh yeah the Dems have made just as much money off of the current tax code as the Republicans...But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. if you think this isn't being played out on a political level at a left vs right perspective then I'm not the one that needs to grow up...I'm not a Republican but I bet you that the state of the union is FILLED with liberal driven class warfare tonight.
Make sure you know the left doesn't give a f*** about people...they care about control through social means
The Republicans don't give a f*** about people..they care about control through fiscal means
Same goal different method...people get f***ed.But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? - - Carpe - - hear it? - - Carpe, carpe Landīca, seize IT boys, make your lives extraordinary.

What simpletons like the OP don't realize is that investment income is taxed twice, and the capital gains you see taxed at 15% is only the second phase of the tax.
15% capital gains tax is more than fair. I don't have a problem with Mitt Romney's income or tax rate one bit. Only people who lap up all the class warfare demagoguery are bothered by it.
I have capital gains income too BTW, granted not anything like Mitt's, but I wouldn't want to pay more than 15% on it. Flat tax FTW.

Dude he pays the same ****ing amount as everyone else.
Capital Gains Taxes =/= Income Taxes.
They are not taxed at the same level. Not sure why that is so ****ing hard for you to understand. You are more than welcome to invest and pay the same percentage on your gains as Romney.[Official] San Diego Brah

So you think that overall when people talk about raising taxes in the very general sense in pretty much all cases, they aren't envious and want to take some of somebody else's pie and "spread around the wealth"? IDK if your sig is accurate calling yourself a "Ron Paul Revolution Member" either if you are so pro tax increase for ANYONE. The trend needs to go down not up. All the politicians do is use public outcry on issues like these (and this can be seen as a legitimate concern as the % is lower than people making less as you have yelled out) and tax the people even more and line their pockets and continue with pet projects that waste billions. I'm sure Romney can use the money he has personally more effectively than Congress and the criminals in the federal system who like power for power's sake.
Any policy that puts less money in the hands of the slime that has become our "government" is ok with me.
Also what does my age have anything to do with it? Yes I am 21... *******.

Stopped reading op's post when he said
"Romney paid in total effective 13.8% taxes on 24 million dollar income. Nothing more nothing less. He owes no more taxes because the system allows him to keep most of his earnings. 3 million out the door, flat, tax. He gets to keep 21 mill from his 24."
You have a fcking problem with a system that lets you keep your own earnings? Wtf is wrong with you...strong left wing logic. I understand that people need to be taxed but that is one of the most retarded things I have ever read.//If you do not train legs then you are a doucher SRS//

This thread is EXACTLY why America is the way it is. The OP is right but the posters in here are actually attacking him.
Cliffs:
- The ultra-rich gives "campaign donations" to politicians which in turn, makes laws that are favorable for the rich
- Ultra-rich makes most of their money in capital gains so having laws that lower the tax on capital gains to what is now 15% (think of this way: A banker is taxed at 15%; his secretary is taxed at 37%)
- When the economy collapsed, the middle class and the poor are left to pay for all bc the ultra-rich aren't paying their fair share of taxes
Taxes are collected for a reason. For all the posters that say "why shouldn't Romney keep most of their money?" What if for every $10 you and Mitt earn, he keeps over $8 but you only keep $6. How is this fair?"Wack it in the bathroom, its what I do. I like to do it while I'm taking a ****, cause the **** stimulates my anus and gives me extra pleasure" --Pink Dumbbell

Romney pays 3 million in taxes and you probably pay maybe $20,000.
You are both receiving the same government services. Police, public roads, schools, firefighters etc. The list goes on. Who is paying more? Romney, by an extremely wide margin. Your return is over a $1 per $1 you pay in taxes. Romney probably gets about $0.10 back in services per dollar of taxes he pays. So it is his job to pay more because you failed at life? Come on now.[Official] San Diego Brah

I'll tell you one thing. All this shyt has gotten to be too much for me.
After that thread yesterday about the cops that shot the crowbar wielding guy < 10 fuking times at close range, and dealing with the ignorant retarded wastes of human DNA in that thread, i will not enter threads or even state my opinion on things that happen in your country. I know Australia is not far off, and thats why i pay attention to U.S, cos what happens there affects us.
I'm honestly not even going to comment on Australian stuff of this nature, freedom, human rights, politics etc.
Ron Paul cannot save America. Nobody can save America. Just as nobody can save Australia.
I'm not sure the people are even worth saving honestly, just crowds and crowds of mindless ignorant incompetent babbling idiots.
I'm just gonna kick back and wait for someone to push the big red button and end this stupidity, and i'm actually starting to think it wouldnt be a bad idea.*Misc Zombie Response Team*

Lol @ the americans saying that taxes are evil.
BRB no public health care
BRB economy in collapse
brb one of the worlds largest divisions in rich vs poor
I constantly see middle/lower class americans defend this type of thinking because they all believe that one day they'll be rich. So ****ing stupid.Everyone knows rusted screws on a bike means that you probably drove it underwater and that's bad ass in itself.
