Yeah. And you really don't have to follow a diet plan. Just change your diet (aka: what goes into your system).
Drink more water.
Cut out the crap from what you're eating.
Stop eating processed foods.
Stop loading up on carbs.
Drink more water.
Eat more protein (1-1.5g per lean body mass weight).
Eat more chicken.
Drink more water.
Eat more vegetables.
Count your calories and eat a little below maintenance first.
Use the following link to kind of guide you in foods you should be shopping for.

Keto is just a way to drop carbs pretty much completely from your diet so that your body uses fat stores for energy. If you're 262 right now, simple changes in your diet will probably benefit you a LOT more than hopping on a diet plan.

I'm in. New to the site but have been involved with lifting and exercise my whole life.
Have never put together a solid nutrition plan but started too more recently.
My cut started 3-4 weeks ago and I'm getting more disciplined the further I get into it.
Started around 220 and around 213 now. Would love to get to 10% bodyfat eventually but for now I'll take seeing 200 pounds on the scale as it has been a few years since I've seen that weight.

I fell off the posting wagon last time, but not the workout wagon. Hopefully I can remember to stop in and post this time around!
This is an awesome time of year for me to get in workouts that don't feel like so much work. Finally have rehabbed my ACL enough that I can play sports again.
Routine for the last couple weeks has been
Monday: 30min cardio before work ~160 heart rate, 1.5hr drop-in basketball 8-9:30pm
Tuesday: 30 min cardio before work ~160 heart rate, 1hr weights (upper body)
Wednesday: 30 min cardio before work ~160 heart rate, co-ed volleyball 1 or 2 hrs depending if double header
Thursday: 30min cardio before work ~160 heart rate, 1hr weights (legs) or basketball league game
Friday: 30 min cardio before work ~160 heart rate
Saturday/Sunday: 1hr cardio on either Saturday or Sunday, 1 day off.
Attempting to get up a bit earlier and hit 45 mins for cardio but that's a struggle!
March 15 is my girlfriends bday, hoping to hit 200 for then!http://trendweight.com/u/e22e9c216aec4e/ <-- My Scale

I'm really pumped this time around. I stopped posting last time around the holidays. The shame would have been unbearable... But I've been on a rigorous cut since the New Year and I'm psyched to hit it hard this time 'round.
Realistic goal: 1.5 lbs per week? Starting at 172, that'll put me around 152 by May 1st? Never been more motivated than I am now. Can't wait!Fat and weak, but getting better.
1RMs as of 6/06/2012:
Squat: 320
Bench Press: 215
Deadlift: 350
Overhead Press: 120
Weighted Chin: +50

Not a problem .. As to the whole protein/body mass deal, here's a rough idea:
Try to get 1 gram of protein per pound of bodyweight per day through whole foods. If you’re over 15% body fat, use your lean body mass instead of your bodyweight.
That comes from Jim Wendler, and I think it's pretty much widely accepted as how much protein you should get during the day.Proud member of Team Ogre

I was visting my parents for like the last 4 days and that derailed my diet but im going to get back on the horse from here on out.
Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.

I'm in. We have a competition at work that starts on Feb 1, and this group fits the timeline of the competition perfectly. Body stats and pictures will be updated on the 1st after the official "weigh in."
I've always been a larger guy, and even though I played multiple sports in HS, I was never in "great" shape. I never dipped below 25% BF even after 3 years of working out and playing sports. As I've gotten older and spent time in college, I've become more and more of a couch potato. I played intramural sports on the side, and my roommates and I occasionally hit up the rec center, but it just wasn't enough, and I've steadily put on weight. The real wake-up call, for me, came about a month ago when I looked over some pictures from a Halloween party I attended. In a few of those pictures, I have a double chin, man chest, and a "food baby."
The contest and the wake-up calls are going to, hopefully, provide me with more than enough motivation to get healthy and make a lifestyle change.
