Tracking calories has made me so much more conscious about what I eat! In the past when I would binge I would just forget about it. But now I know that every morsel of food I eat will be logged into myfitnesspal so I'm much more reluctant to overeat! And If I do I'm much more motivated to exercise to burn of the exercise cals.
So for those struggling to eat under their calorie goal I recommend signing upto my fitnesspal!. Also, if anyone enjoys indian food please add me as I want to see how people go about eating under maintence whilst munching on calorie dense curries. I'm sarkaar on myfitnesspal.

Looking through my wardrobe at old clothes seeing what would fit me. Found my smallest pair of jeans(size 33). They barely fit me when i was 16 and weighed 180. Figured i would be lucky to be able to even get my legs in them since i weigh 17lbs more. THEY FIT!
I cant wait to see where i am when i actually make it to 180 again.

Lost another pound just weighing myself 3 days after the past weigh in. Today as well I bought my first pair of skinny jeans that actually was able to fit in with no issues and remain looking good. Size 32 waist.
Booked a holiday to Hawaii and Singapore during September as well, setting another milestone/goal to reach the end of my cut/early bulk

Morning everyone! 167.4 today! Aside from the first year or so of high school, that's the lowest weight I've ever been! Success is addictive. I killed myself on a run yesterday (6 miles in 52:53 - a PR) and I'm dead sore today, so it'll be a chance to relax and diet. Hope everyone is having a great President's Day weekend!
Very nice work. If I were you, I'd take a diet break in the near future. Maybe at 6 weeks. It's beneficial metabolically and psychologically. And it's fun. Congratulations on your discipline so far! Excellent work!
I wore 33/34 in HS when I was like 165-170. I worked out a bit but was still a bit doughy. Now I'm 167 and my 32s are starting to slip and I'm on the last notch of my belt. Muscles, man. They rock.Fat and weak, but getting better.
1RMs as of 6/06/2012:
Squat: 320
Bench Press: 215
Deadlift: 350
Overhead Press: 120
Weighted Chin: +50

Morning .. weight has been up a few days in a row. Up 1.4 today, but it's water weight. I ate out twice yesterday and once I had 12 oz of super salty chicken. I only ate about 3500 cals. My size 30 jeans are a bit too tight in the but and legs area these days. 31's are still comfy.
Today I fly to Florida to go spend a couple of days with my 3 year old. I'll be back Tuesday night, so I may not be around much. Good news is I am getting 3 straight days off from the gym to let me body fully heal and rest. Im going to try to stay right around 3200-3300 cals for the next few days. I only have 10 more days left of my bulk.Aug of 2010 - 330 lbs <--- Never Forget

The Palm Springs/Desert area in California is beautiful, first time here or in California for that matter.

Welcome to California. Hey GregZee I see you are from Wichita! I grew up in a small town south of there called Derby. If you get some time you should go up to Idyllwild. Cool little mountain town and might even have snow up there today? It's on the mountain you see above you there in Palm Springs. Take the Palms to Pines Highway for some killer views.

Right on! Wow congrats on your transformation I see you have come way down from your max weight! Good job dude.
Derby has a water park? LOL I haven't lived there in 25 years but my mom and brothers still do. I was just back there right before Thanksgiving and I was not about to take my shirt off in public. Maybe in another year if I can keep this weight going down!Weighed - 281 lbs on 1/1/2012

Thanks for that. It has been a long road. It has taken a mental overhaul, but been well worth it. What kills me is comparatively in 2004-2009 I had all the time in the world to devote to eating right and exercise. Now I have a fancy job in DC, wife, and child (second due in May) and almost no free time outside of my 4-5 hours of exercise I get per week (weights + cardio). If I can lose this weight at the stage of life I'm at just about anybody can. Good luck to all!

gonna get knocked out of the green for sure this week. Sitting around 203 right now... my weight fluctuates wildly, maybe it has to do with the ungodly amount I sweat and drink water... scale even said 208 earlier this week

My goal is to be 165 lbs by April or (10% BF), which will be my lowest weight-wise since high school. (more than 25 yrs ago) I'm definetly on track. weighed in this morning at 175.2 lbs
I love using myfitnesspal.com very easy / clean web app. Plus it has an iPhone app. I find everything I eat in there, especially all the stuff I buy from Costco. Keeping track of my calories has always been the key for me. When I know exactly how much I'm taking in I feel good about eating it and not wondering if I'm eating too much or not. When I stop counting my calories I always start gaining weight. I usually stop once I reach my goal figuring I've learned how to estimate my food, but sure enough I slowly start putting on more weight. Not this time though, I'm aspiring to be in the best shape of my life before I hit 45.Last edited by scatterzoom; 02-19-2012 at 03:16 PM.

Why do I do this weightlifting thing for the last 34 years with all its ups and downs life has handed me? Because each time I came back stronger. NEVER GIVE UP. Gym life is about more than muscles getting bigger and weights going up. Its wisdom discipline dedication humility you name it.
