Thanks again StrongMeat. New to this forum and your input is def worth a rep but I don't think I can do that yet? Yeah I am pretty sure I am gonna lose some LBM which is ok for me cause it is more important right now to get the weight(fat) off. I do want to "preserve" as much LBM as I can during this process. I was 267 at the start of this thread and when I was 21 years old I was also 6'0 tall and couldn't get to 165lbs after eating all day long and soaking in water. I am confident I can cut a lot of weight but how much before I will be due a bulking phase I am not sure. Just have to wait and see. Never managed a six pack before but back in the day we didn't have the internet and all the nutritional advice at one's fingertips. Not making an excuse just the way it was for me.
I am making a lifestyle change here for my health and sticking to the program is not optional at my age anymore. I lived good and had fun but I let my health slip and a look at my gut in my before pictures one can see why that is not the way to live your life! I do like the idea of getting stronger even if it does not show right away. I am definitely the weakest I have been in 20 some years and it is no doubt due for sure to a sedentary and eat whatever lifestyle. As I said unhealthy living is not an option going forward anymore.Weighed - 281 lbs on 1/1/2012

If you have to cheat, you're doing it wrong. Eat a variety of food every day including foods that you usually call cheat foods. They will keep you on track and help you avoid the weekend binge. Restrictive diets are a recipe for yo-yo dieting. Also, if you are not going to listen at least make it a cheat meal instead of day, since a lot of people can erase the week long deficit in one day. God knows I used to. No one wants to "spin their wheels".

The July, November and February pics were taken at the start (or just prior to the start) of each one of these challenges.
When you attach an image to a posting, does it become permanently attached/warehoused, or does it disappear when I delete the source image? Also, how do you attach a file? Linking for now. I'll probably delete this message later.

Went to the gym this morning. Had a solid workout. My legs are developing doms from yesterday. I am sore. Tomorrow going to go to the gym again. I want to hit my back a 2nd time this week. This is my 2nd full week of bulking. Up 6.6 lbs and that includes a cheat weekend where I was on vacation. I think I'm hovering around 13% body fat. Will stop around 15% or through the end of the month. I think once I get back down to about 11% or so, I'm going to try to leangain style bulk. Hope all of you make it through Super Bowl Sunday without too much damage.

Not sure what happens to your image and I am pretty sure NitrogenWidget is kidding when he says it becomes everyone's default desktop wallpaper! LOL
But honestly why would you delete this post or your image? Your facial transformation from 2009 to present day is something that should make you feel good about the transformation. You had an attractive face even back then with the extra BF%. Of course I understand the internet being what it is sometimes for keeping a lid on some things. Thanks for sharing. I want my old square jawline back!Weighed - 281 lbs on 1/1/2012

From July 3rd to August 21 I dropped from 270 down to 248, tracked my progress on here, and felt the best I've felt in over a decade. Around that time we were in the process of buying a house and the stress was rought but I stuck with it. We bought the house and things were cool. Then, on Sept 6th I lost my best friend to a 6 month battle w/ cancer and from there, I pretty much fell off completely. Didn't really worry about what I was eating, stopped going to the gym completely. Here I am 5 months later and last week I weighed 270 again.
I'm definitely in on this. We're taking a vacation the first full week of June and my goal is simply to maintain my deficit and get back to the gym and see where I am when that time rolls around.Former nearly-300-lb club.

For me, it wasn't a cheat day so much as a single meal. I'm trying to completely overhaul my eating habits, and it hasn't been easy. I figure, this way, at least I'm only doing it once or twice a week. I've been dealing with caffeine withdrawals too, and those have been miserable. So long as I keep making progress, even if it's slow and steady, instead of burning out and quitting, then I'm doing it the "right" way.
Pretty soon, I hope to be weened off the refined foods and completely off the soda wagon. When that day happens, I'll be set for the rest of the cut.

When I was trying to hit 2500 cals I had few choices:
True mass shake.
Lot's of fricken Peanut butter
Ice cream.
I just cannot put 2500 cals of solid food from my cut list into my belly without feeling like i'm about to explode.
I can't do fast food often just because it sometimes doesn't agree with me.
When I start cutting again i'll probably have a little ice cream now & then.
Really depends on how much i'm running.
