This thread will be for beer drinkers to unite and talk. You can post pics of your recent haul, what you are drinking tonight, provide reviews or give general advice. You can also ask advice in this thread if you brew beer as well. I've done it a few times, but it's just too much work.
I also feel inclined to start this thread. My cousin, Brett Joyce, owns Rogue in Newport, Oregon.
If anyone is in the Houston area, I attend trivia at the Flying Saucer in Downtown Houston every Tuesday evening. We are the big dogs and we win every week, but I also have access to a ton of beers as well. I'll post pics of what I drink (srs)

Been drinking blue moon or bud light lately any tips on something new to try?
Friday night. Date night in Miami. Every night is a date night in Miami, and everyone's having sex. But for me, sex never enters into it. I don't understand sex. Not that I have anything against women, and I certainly have an appropriate sensibility about men, but when it comes to the actual act of sex, it's always just seemed so undignified. But I have to play the game.

Man I'm jealous of OP if he gets hooked up free Rogue. Quite delicious beer.
FYI, there is a pretty good beer thread in the supplement Misc, but I am all for a regular misc thread!
Not quite beer related, but brewing related. I think I'm going to make 2-3 sample batches of cider (never tried before, but whole foods has organic apple cider that comes in a 1 gal. glass carboy already for like 6-7$, so what could it hurt). Anyone have any pro-tips? I was thinking about making one basic one, then maybe one drier/higher alcohol content (11% or so) one using champagne yeast, and maybe a spiced flat one? We'll see...

I've never actually visited the brewery since I'm in Texas, but I'll be heading to Portland next year for a friend's wedding and a trip will be in order.
I'm not related to him by blood, but his wife and kids are. My grandfather's sister's grand daughter is married to Brett. They send us christmas cards every year lulzCreator of:

1554 and 90 shiling are both decent by new belgium and distributed nearly everywhere. The only downside is that New Belgium is one of my least favorite breweries in Fort Collins (where I live). O'Dells and Equinox are both better (IMO), but don't get the national distribution. Equinox is also especially cool, as they give most of their recipes to the home brew shop nextdoor, so you can easily make good clones if you want.
pretty cool all the same

My brother and I are going to start homebrewing when I get my house. Upon inspecting the attic, I found a couple carboys, tanks, and other homebrew goodies collecting dust. The current owners are going to leave it behind for me. We have a few years experience but a bit rusty. Used to brew back in New Orleans.
