    I have thrown up several times in between sets and completing your sets after that can be one of the more memorable training experiencess. Besides in my book making really loud noises in the gym are reserved for those who squat and deadlift!!!!

    I don't think my legs have ever been this sore.. I had an all out war on my wheels yesterday and it hurts to walk, sit, talk, think... well, you get the point.. I'm absolutely trashed!!

    I did RDL'S for the first time on Thursday. I didn't like how they engaged my lower back so much. Supposedly they are easier on the lower back than SLDL's but it didn't feel that way. I went back to SLDL'S.

    in on leg motivation thread, currently doing GVT for legs, 10x10 for squats, and 10x10 for sl/dl and 3x12 for leg ex and ham curls, currently 5 weeks thru

    with my squat i started at around 80kg 10r 10s
    yesterday did 100x2x8 90x3x8 and 80x5x10

    ill post pics at the end!!

    the squat can be used as an analogy for life!! when something heavy is wearing you down, you gotta push back up!!

    I, too, enjoy training legs. It's one of my strengths. Here's what I did for legs this week and is pretty typical of my training for the last 7 years. For me, leg day is everyday out of necessity. But my gym comes with a view.

    This program will make your legs outgrow your shorts!

    Monday, May 28, 2012:
    4:30 a.m. Leg Day – Weight Room
    Back Squats: 30x45 lbs., 20x165, 18x185, 10x225, 10x315, 10x385, 3x405, 18x135
    Dumbbell Reverse Lunges: 10x45 (each leg), 6x60, 4x80, 2x90
    Glute-Ham Raises: 5 sets of 5 reps
    Barbell Calf Raises: 30x135, 20x225, 20x225, 12x315, 20x135
    Seated Calf Machine: 30x50, 20x90, 20x140, 12x160, 20x90

    Monday, Work Day, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    8.5 Mile Hike – Hike up Taft Creek Canyon to Taft Peak (11,700 feet), ascending just over 4,500 vertical feet to the top of the mountain. Once on the peak, eat lunch, take in the view. After lunch, hike northward before dropping down into McCoy Creek and hiking back out to the truck about 4 miles away.

    Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Work Day, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    ~10 Mile Hike – Park at Cleve Creek Trailhead, hike up the trail for about 4.5 miles to the crest of the mountain, gaining 3,800 vertical feet. Surveyed and mapped the trail. Once on top, hit the adjacent ridge to the west and followed it down to the road then hiked back to the truck.

    Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Work Day, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    ~12 Mile Hike – Hiked into a spring development deep in the Currant Mountain Wilderness Area. GPS’d, photographed, and documented the fence and trough then hiked back out to the truck. Due to the terrain, this was a tough day. Saw 4 Bull Elk up in the canyon. I watched them graze for about 15 minutes and got a few nice photos before they realized I was there and took off up the hill.

    Monday, Work Day, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    8.5 Mile Hike – Hike up Taft Creek Canyon to Taft Peak (11,700 feet), ascending just over 4,500 vertical feet to the top of the mountain. Once on the peak, eat lunch, take in the view. After lunch, hike northward before dropping down into McCoy Creek and hiking back out to the truck about 4 miles away.

    Tuesday, May 29, 2012. Work Day, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    ~10 Mile Hike – Park at Cleve Creek Trailhead, hike up the trail for about 4.5 miles to the crest of the mountain, gaining 3,800 vertical feet. Surveyed and mapped the trail. Once on top, hit the adjacent ridge to the west and followed it down to the road then hiked back to the truck.

    Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Work Day, 6:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
    ~12 Mile Hike – Hiked into a spring development deep in the Currant Mountain Wilderness Area. GPS’d, photographed, and documented the fence and trough then hiked back out to the truck. Due to the terrain, this was a tough day. Saw 4 Bull Elk up in the canyon. I watched them graze for about 15 minutes and got a few nice photos before they realized I was there and took off up the hill.

    Its been about 2 months, and i am still doing squats weekly,,,,, they have become my favorite excersize,,,,, the soreness feels good the next day,,, its like all these muscles i didn't even know i had, are starting to firm up in my thighs,,, feelsgoodman.exe,,,,,,,,,, up to 185lbs as well, cant wait till i break 200lbs,,, then to get up to squatting my body weight!!

    Today's leg workout started off pretty slow and then again, I took a step back, cleared my head and asked myself "why are you here"!!?? That was all I needed! I'm not a guy that goes to the gym to just go through the motions.. I go there to better myself everyday and striving for a world class physique!! I know I'll never get there by just going through the motions.. Make every day count!!
