I use to hate training legs, now its by far my favourite body part to train. I use Kris Getin's training program which is 50,40,30,20,10,10,20,30,40,50 reps and I usually can't walk after it :').
Started off with 4 plate max on 10 reps, now im up to 8 plates for 10 reps (Leg Press) (470lbs), not going to stop til im on 12 plates for 10!!

I don't really mind legs, I really like to see my progress on the leg press machine. Squats can be irritable because of the stress it puts on my neck. This definitely helps though

If you're doing squats properly they shouldn't stress your neck. check out some form video's on youtube, and then post video of yourself to be critiqued. I'm assuming you have the bar too high on your back based off of your comment

I always made excuses not to work legs. When I first started lifting at 20 I just focused on the upper body, occasionally doing leg presses or calf raises. When asked about why I didn't do much leg work or when leg workouts were brought up, I used the excuse of a bad knee. (Old injury from stupidity on a skateboard.) Well, I stayed at 6'4" and 175 for years, even after I quit working out less than a year after I started. Fast forward five years, and I decided to get serious about lifting. Also, my knee was getting worse and would give out on me often. A doctor recommended leg work to strengthen my knee. A good friend joined in on my workouts, who though he was overweight and out of shape, had great legs. (Probably due to carrying the extra weight all his life.) Friendly competetion in the gym eventually made leg day my favorite workout and my hardest. My knee very rarely gives me issues now, (At 27) and I'm able to squat way more than I ever expected. Though to some it may be a small number, I'm finally doing working sets with 405, and every leg day push myself further and further. This also helped me gain in other areas. I'm now 235 at 12% bf and constantly get compliments on my calves, quads and hams. Legs helped me to gain mass, strengthen my injury, and improve my physique. My goal at age 20 was 210 lean. Now I'm working towards 250.

I had never done a squat up until a few months ago. Now that I have actual set leg days in my rotation I have grown to love leg days.

Great story dude! I love stories like this, they provide hope to so many out there.. I was sort of in the same boat with a bad knee from my basketball days.. I still get some soreness every now and then, but ever since I started using the Blue Gene my knee and elbow pain has been reduced considerably.. It's amazing how fast you will start gaining weight and smashing a plateau if you start training the wheels.. Good on you brother!!

I started today's leg day with Front Box Squats, followed by heavy Hack Squats, alternate leg extensions and presses.. Then I declared war with my calves and beat the hell out of them with heavy drop sets... Abs consisted of Windshield Wipers, hanging leg raises, rope crunches and machine crunches.. My body literally feels like it was run over... I'm going to relax this evening.. Thank God for Netflix!

Completed Kris Gethins week 10, day 64 leg workout today.
I thought it'd be pretty easy, only being 3 exercises, boy was I wrong. Felt like puking in the change room afterwards. Didn't but came close. Likely going to walk funny for a couple of days now, but it feels great knowing that I did it, and pushed myself.
