First off I just want to give a huge thanks to Powercage and the whole CL crew for giving me the opportunity to log the new Gold Feast. This was the replacement to Golden Gains which was discontinued in 2011.

Now let's get down to business
Gold Feast: What is it?
Now that you've made fitness a part of your lifestyle, treat yourself to Gold Feast whenever you need a good and healthful meal on the go. Formulated with precise amounts of protein, healthy fats, and carbohydrates, we enhanced Gold Feast further by adding exclusive “super-nutrients” to help support the athletic lifestyle.
The Gold Pro-Cho (protein and carbohydrate) complex delivers essential and branched chain amino acids so crucial for lean muscle tissue and recovery between workouts. It also features natural oats for a CONTROLLED insulin response and a good dose of fiber. Now you no longer need to choose between great taste, mixability, and value... get everything you need with Gold Feast.
The HealthyFat Complex is a blend of healthful fats that athletes consume to optimize performance. It has the potential to help optimize blood sugar levels, enhance cardiovascular health and scavenge free radicals.
The Fruit & Veggie Complex relies on 3,000mg of the best organic fruit and vegetables available. Other formulas rely almost strictly on macro nutrients and ignore the importance of micronutrients; this is not the case with Gold Feast. Micronutrients are plentiful in fruits and vegetables and help form a solid nutritional foundation that is essential for muscle growth. This complex also helps to convert the body from the “acidic environment” of most bodybuilding diets, to a more basic one that is needed for optimal lean muscle mass gains and overall health.
Many athletes and bodybuilders drink much more water and other fluids than the average person. This, in turn, can dilute the electrolytes in their bodies. Therefore, we included electrolytes in the Gold Feast formula as well. Electrolytes may also help avoid muscle cramping that so many experience. With your health and performance in mind, Gold Feast delivers
Mixability
Absolutely no problem at all. 2 scoops of Gold Feast in 24 oz of water/milk mixes great. Really nothing to complain about in this department. The only thing is if you mix it up and then let it sit for an extended period of time then grit does float to the bottom of your shaker cup. But that is expected due to all of the ingredients in the profile. A good amount of foam builds up after shaking it up but subsides after 15-20 seconds or so.Never really had a problem mixing no matter if it as in water or milk, or in a blender or shaker cup or with a spoon. It did take a long time to mix itall up with a spoon but after awhile it mixed up good.
Before Mixing:
After mixing:
Taste/Texture
The flavor is "Lemon Drop." When I took my first sip I figured it was going to be very tart like a sour lemon candy like a lemonhead. If I were to classify this I would not consider it a lemon drop but more of a lemon creme. It is not an identical taste of Xtreme Formulations UP2.0 LCP but it is still a very nice lemon cream flavor. You get more of a lemon taste in water and when mixed with any type of milk the creme becomes much more dominant. The texture is verys mooth and not gritty at all. There is always a bit of grit left over during your few last sips but it is nothing to complain about. Overall it is a delicious flavor and a nice change from the Homemade Apple Pie from Golden Gains.
Conclusion
Overall it is a very good product and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a good meal replacement and has the money. I mostly used this as a meal replacement in the morning and at night. I used it as a post workout supplment a few times but liked it more as a meal replacement. Either way it is a very versatile product and almost anyone can fit it into their macros.
