    what muscle do power cleans work.

    hey guys, so somebody in my gym doing power cleans and i was wondering what muscle they work?

    The first pull is going to work the same muscles as a deadlift. I shouldn't need to explain these to you.

    The second pull is an extension of the legs, hips, and upper back. So basically you use an extension of your entire body to transfer power to the bar to drive it upward.

    The catch will isometrically work your upper back and is basically a quarter front squat.

    I feel em mostly in my traps, but thats just me. Your experiences may differ. They're fairly technical so get the form close with light weight first.
