Enjoyed being a siglet for 2 days though, was afraid of radios till that, so guess thats a positive from all that, up until I got pricky heat on my back and the radio pressing up against my back was death.
Tfw after all that we go back and get told to go shower and change into civis, get there and the shower is just a bucket of water suspended by rope ;_;

Overall, the highlight of the exercise was taking a chit at midnight against a tree, while it was raining and cold as fuark then getting back into my sleeping bag feeling relieved.

Radios = deep-rooted fear, srs. I had a speech impediment when I was younger that reared its head sometimes when I was under stress.

Sucks about only getting two patrols mate. I know they're cutting costs but that's a bit ridiculous...stand-to's are something you'll have to get used to, unfortunately. They zap the adrenaline pretty fast, hey?

Speaking of aslavs, my mate in cavalry ran over a mortar round with his the other day during a training exercise. We call him Private Pyle now

I'm with you on that, I think I'll have trouble going back to days once I switch careers.

I enjoy being left alone to work and to think my own thoughts, it can be quite relaxing.

Nobody around to clutter up your space, no ******* Kezzy's or Revengebrahs to bat their eyelashes at me...

Yeah I used to stutter A LOT as a kid but it's basically over, but yeah as you said when you stress it goes tits up.
