    acetyl l carnitine?

I have never used acetyl l carnitine but have heard that it really helps to prevent DOMS ( delayed onset muscle soreness ), lactic acid buildup and also has some fat burning effects.
Anything else in particular I should know. It is one of the more expensive aminos out there and don't want to get ripped off. What dosage is best for a 230 lb male?
Any other input would be appreciated!
    Thanks

Acetyl-l-carnitine has similar fat mobilization properties as l-carnitine. It is more commonly used though to protect the brain and has been used to fend Alzheimers.

    I'd try 1 gram a day.
