Question Should I be wary of too many protein bars a day?

I have about 3-4 pure protein bars a day (20g protein, 3g fat, 16 carbs, 2g sugar, 200 cals 80 from fat) and one meal replacement Colossal bar (6g fat 2.5 sat fat, 50 carbs, 28 protein, 25sugar). Do I have to worry about anything (besides gas that smells like road kill) or is this a good snack when I'm feeling hungry post work out?

    For body composition reasons? No.

However you might be deficient in mirco-nutrients. But that depends on the rest of your food intake.

Read the ingredients. Look at the sources of protein, some vary & contain **** sources, like collagen. Also sugar alcohols/substitutes can cause abdominal pain. The first bars you listed seem like they contain a significant amount, and with how many you're eating... if you start getting stomach aches, those bars are the number 1 suspect.

Also, read to see if any of them contain trans fat/hydrogenated or partially-hydrogenated oils.

Probably gets a tad expensive, eating that many bars a day, no? Could probably buy a real nice cart full of groceries for your weekly expenditure...

Throw out those Pure Protein bars and buy Quest Bars instead.

protein bars, like whey, should be used as a supplement. sounds like you are replacing meals with them.... so as far body comp goes no it is not bad..... but i would not suggest it for health reasons. eat actual food!
