Studies are a more "truthful" source to base your opinions on compared to ads which is what many people base their opinions on. Anyway, the difference in effects is minimal. The effects of all three aren't obvious, they're subtle, very subtle.
Since studies don't give you the info you want here's my experiences:
Monohydrate: not massively effective, slight strength gained, no acne, no water retention
CEE: not massively effective, slight strength gained, no acne, no water retention
KreAlk.: not ver effective at all, little if any strength gained, no acne, no water retention
Monohydrate is the best. It is the most effective. The cheapest. The longest lasting. But don't expect miracles from it (or any other supp).

So I'm getting a sports physical on Monday. Last year I had this thing where I had too much protein in my urine, doctor made it a big deal, went to a specialist in downtown chicago, did a 24 hour urine test...It turned out it was normal for a teen to have too much protein in urine and that my kidneys are completley fine.
Now for the sports physical, do they check urine? I use 5 grams of creatine daily but have not worked out for around 2-3 weeks. If they do check urine, I'm guessing the creatinine levels would be pretty high (but I do drink 4 liters of water daily). So I'm asking is is there a procedure after a test is done and there are high levels of creatinine? Or should I tell the doctor I'm on a creatine supplement before test...cause who knows he might start sending me to specialists again.

I am a cross country runner looking to get my shoulders and arms bigger. I drink Max Gourmet protein right after weightlifting, it contains 5 grams of Creatine per serving. Would this drink in any way be counter-productive to cross country running? I heard it can dehydrate muscles so I am unsure if I should continue taking this stuff.

Take in about 4 liters of water a day, this will keep you from being dehydrated. Only way really it can be counter productive is if you retain water and gain some weight, so you may be able to slow down, but it really should not effect you negatively in any way. Just make sure to get enough water.
im trying to add some good weight on i took about 2 pounds in a month or so... will creatine help add weight thank you

I watched some video about loading for the first 5 days and you have to take 0.3 grams for the first 5 days. Well what does 0.3 grams look like. I have the white pills with the power inside of it.
and do i take creatine before and after workout or can i take creatine before working out and drink a protein shake after? please answer both questions

Loading is not really necessary, depends on how fast you want to see results really. Its usually 20 grams loading for first week, then after take 2-5grams daily. Read first page of thread, it should be there. Just take 5 grams daily.
What brand pills are you using, provide more info...we cant read your mind.
Yes, you can take creatine before workout and drink protein shake after.Last edited by Bm10x; 08-13-2009 at 03:49 AM.

20g spread over 4 servings. Try and get them an equal amount of time apart, doesn't really make much difference though. The time (e.g. post workout, pre workout, pre bed, etc.) you take creatine doesn't matter, just to let you know. Just make sure you get about 5g every workout day to every day once you've finished loading.

Fat guys can take it. It doesn't add fat, it may increase water retention but it is barely noticeable even if that happens.
Creatine can benefit a cut or a bulk.
Listen, just take creatine for a month, see what happens. It isn't AAS. It won't hurt you, it won't affect your gains negatively, you don't even need to change your diet or training.

I agree. But Im pretty sure some places to would it if he's under 18. But no, dont let your bro use Creatine at age 14. Once he is around 16 and has a proper diet, and a good workout plan then he can use. For now just let him use Protein and then when the time comes, start using Creatine.
