    Gaining Weight Question

Hey I'm trying to gain weight because im a really slender guy. I have recently read an online article that your body goes into a catabolic state every 3 hours that you don't eat and it eats away your muscles. I sleep about 9-9 1/2 hours ever ynight and so my body is in that state for a while. I do a casein shake before bed but my metabolism is extremely fast. If i woke up once in the middle of the night, and did a protein shake, would I be seeing more weight gain and less muscle being eaten away from the catabolic state? Sorry this post is kinda lengthy.. Im new to bodybuilding and was curious.. Thanks!

    You read a dumb article.

You're asking a question that get's answered twice a day.

Use the search feature. Read stickies, especially in the nutrition board.

Eat before you sleep, and just sleep don't worry about waking up in the middle of the night. Your body won't eat up your muscles as long as you have nutrients present. Digestion is a lot slower while you're sleeping.

Just eat a lot dude, eat until you don't want to eat anymore. Then eat a little more. Just lift, sleep, and eat, don't worry about the technicalities.
