    Counted my macros finally...can't get enough carbs in my diet even though i'm cutting

    First off, I'm using the information from Emma's thread here:
    http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showth...hp?t=121703981

    Here are my calorie requirements that i've calculated
    1st method: Assumed Lean Mass = 160lbs
    BMR = 370 + (21.6 x 160/2.2) = 1941 cal
    TEE = 1941 x 1.65 = 3,202.5
    2nd method:
    35 x 93.18kg = 3261.36
    Average = 3230 calories
    Diet = 3230 x 80% = 2,584 <---Magic number

    At 205lbs,
    Protein: 225g (900 cal) (between 1.25g/lb and 1.5, i forgot what I used)
    Carbohydrate (2584 – 900 – 504)/4 = 295g <---seems like quite a bit for trying to cut down my fat
    Fat: 56g (504 cal) (.35 x 160lbs)

    Sample of daily intake breakdown (Calories/P/Carb/Fat) - Haven't tried eating like this yet
    1. Chicken, Oatmeal, and PB 580/55/40/21
    2. Brown rice 150/3/34/1
    3. Pork, brown rice, and vegetables 480/50/50/7
    4. Brown rice 150/3/34/1
    5. Whey shake and PB 448/58/16/21
    6. Chicken 230/43/0/5

    Total
    Calories: 2039 Needs to increase by 500
    Protein: 215
    Carbohydrates: 174 needs to increase 120
    Fat: 56

    Currently I'm not eating anywhere near the carbohydrate or calories requirements. After doing this, I was a little dumbfounded with how much I should* be eating when I'm trying to cut down on weight. I guessed I'm around 20-25% BF. I don't even know if I can stomach eating 2 servings of just brown rice. Also, from previous readings, I was also trying to avoid eating carbs and fats together and carbs late at night. I'm just not sure how this is going to workout with the amount of extra carbs and calories I'll be eating compared to what i'm doing now. In my sig is a journal pretty detailed of what I've been eating and how I've been working out. Let me know if my calculations are just way off or something

    Messed around with some numbers...increased fat intake and therefore reduce carb requirement
    Fat .75 x 160LBM = 120g (1080 calories) (used .75 instead of .35, Emma's range was .35-1g/lb)
    Carbs are now:
    2584-900Pcals-1080Fcals/4=150g Carbs

    I can definitely eat some scoops of PB over brown rice and oats. Does this look better? Once again, my goals are just to get rid of this disgusting fat and man tits i've accumulated since marriage baby and school.

    Heres before marriage:

    Focus on fulfilling your protein/fat requirements and use carbs as a gauge toward manipulating your caloric deficit.

    I feel this is just fine. The ultimate determining factor in your fat loss will be the amount of calories in vs. calories out. As long as you are fulfilling your macronutrient requirements, and maintain a consisten caloric deficit, you WILL inevitably burn fat and lose weight.

    I can definitely eat some scoops of PB over brown rice and oats.
    Where's the fruit?

    Well that would be the dilemma I was posting.

    Would cutting my calories more than 20% work out okay? Even though protein intake would be right, would less calories not favor sustaining any muscle and/or growth?
