Hey everyone, I've been on another forum but I've decided that this forum seems, well.... better. Anyways, In some workout routines I see that people work both the tricep and bicep on the same day. I thought this was wrong because isn't it true that if you workout 2 muscles from the same part of the body (upper arms), it hinders the amount you get out of it if you just did biceps and triceps on different days. What is the reasoning behind working both on the same day?

I am one of them.
Once I changed from a back/bi & chest/tri to an all day ARM event... omfg... I fell in love with it. Not only do I have better arm workouts, but I can focus more on back.. or chest.. etc as well. For me (personal preference here..) it was, and remains, awesome.
Course, my arms are freaking small.... but.. that said... I like it!!--

honestly i think thats a matter of preference to be honest with you. i train bi's and tri's together in a superset manner and that has seemed to work for me just fine. i've tried splitting them up by doing one first and then the other but didnt really like it that way. i prefer the superset fashion where i do a tri and jump right into a bi exercise. so if thats what you like and it works for you, do it man.

^^^^^^^^THIS ^^^^
Best way 2 find out is u try it out urself...say one week do chest/biceps and back/triceps, next week u cud do back/bis and chest/tris and den experiment with supersets bis+tris
I personally found supersetting 2 b the absolute best and ony way to train arms if u want insane size and pumps. There is just no comparison..once u'll do it u'll never go bak 2 training bis/tris separately

How You Beast Arms Day
You can do either, i prefer to do them on the same day but alternate exercises, like do barbell curls then tri overhead extensions. This way you can move the lactic acid to get the max weights while lifting. Same idea as when a swimmer completes a backstroke race and then does a cool down by just swimming laps freestyle swim. It moves the lactic acid or "your pump" away from the muscle(s) that you just worked.
