Oddly enough, of everything I've seen recently on this log, I want that asian style cole slaw more than anything. That + some sesame & chile shrimp sounds awesome . . . *sigh*, done eating for the day though.

I sure am jelly that you get cheap shiratake noodles!!! I bought another box of 30 lol trying to drop the price a bit. I got 15% off, so $54 for 30 wasn't too bad.
Looking forward to BIG things from you hommie! BIG BIG things. Let's keep pushing!!!!- <30 weeks out with 3DMJ & -Berto- to the 2014 Victorian INBA Victorian Titles.

lol I really hope you like the banana nut otherwise I'm in trouble
basically it has that same 'flour/nutty' taste that all the dymatize XT range has with a hint of banana. When mixed with some sf maple syrup into oats it makes the MOTHERFUKKING TASTIEST PROATS EVAAAA
I still got a couple packs of the aus equivalent of shirataki noodles in my cupboard from when I was cutting that I won't ever use again... I'll send them to ya if you want

Thanks man, yesterday was the last day on 250 so now we'll really see how creative I get. Also the cardio sounds like a good effort but it really isn't that hard of a pace, ~60rpm @ 15 resistance. The machine uses some distance/time based formula to calculate energy burn instead of looking at power output based on rpm, so there's no point in busting your ass as such. Because of that I just aim to keep intensity fairly moderate and match it as closely as I can between workouts.
As much as I know you love protein powder this can't be a bad thing
Tasted great man. Face was on fire though. I think when I last bought sriracha it was the other variety which by comparison is like sweet relish
I love my spice and I actually had to take breaks while eating to get more water/coke to drink. That almost never happens!
That's because you have good taste! It was an insanely good batch of coleslaw and done completely on the fly. Definitely recommend making some.
Thanks for the push Andy, I have a feeling I'm gonna need it in the next couple of days!
Mate you have to understand how shocked I was to find something like these noodles just sitting on the shelf of a store I walk past practically every day... and at a very reasonable price too! Like you I'm used to having to shell out big time for anything not locally available
I have a sneaky suspicion that I will hate asian noodles after this prep. Will probably go through a massive italian phase this summer with lots of real pasta
Hahaha no worries mate I made sure to read a few reviews in addition to your observations. The general consensus is that in oats it is magical which is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Most reviews only consider the use of protein powder in shakes and when I read those I always shake my head and think "those guys don't even know what they're missing". Even some crappy whey tastes better in oats than mixed up in a shake.
I'm sure you were joking, because shipping from Aus must be like $10000 thanks though

Moses (an anurag, because I've seen your pics on the Leangains FB page) I've seen you use it quite a few times and I must ask: advice on eggplant prep? I've never done anything with it besides eggplant parm based on old family recipes, so, what do you think is the best way to have it as a little-input, max return side dish?

I won't get into the whole protein discussion because I already used up all my brainpower today and am currently like, but in general feel free to misc as much as you guys want haha
Yea I'd say around 600mg is about average for me. I know people who would be up for 3 days straight on my intake, others who wouldn't flinch.
Haha maybe it's just that you never feel the extra-ordinary effects of caffeine because your baseline intake is so high you would need loads to get any real buzz? Maybe you're just constantly riding a high!
Cutting out caffeine for a month scares me more than attempting keto for a couple of weeks. Srs.
Anurag pretty much has it down. I just bake them for 25 mins @ 220C and they come out nice and crisp. I stopped tossing them in oil because raw eggplant is like sponge and it's very hard to get a good coating of oil on all the slices when you toss in a bowl.

Day 83: 15 weeks out
Like a total freak I got caught up in the work today and didn't do much apart from some cardio in the evening. It's weird but between prep and this project I'm pretty satisfied with the way I invest my time. I have two major outlets: one which is intellectual and one which is physical and they're playing off each other really nicely. The only downside is that I find it difficult to switch off and usually am thinking about one or the other, aside from the brief moments where I decide to chill out and watch some TV or play games. Even then... thoughts creep in
It's all good though, I'm enjoying it! First day of lowered macros down and feeling fine. Food bulk hasn't actually decreased that much since I usually saved a bomb of carbs for the evening anyway, now that bomb has just been reduced in size. Tomorrow is my refeed! Don't have much planned for it other than a sweet potato pie and I really want an elvis sandwich, so that's probably happening. Oh yeah and upper power, but who really cares about lifting?
