Anyone want to do a 3 lift total race?
Thought occurred to me as I was cooking some eggs. We could have a race for the 3 main lifts (bench, squat, deadlift), if we do this, we could set it up as taking everyone's total right now, then set a goal that is 150lbs or whatever above everyone's total. Everyone has their own goal to achieve so its fair in that aspect. Winner ccan get reps from everyone participating.

Not that it would matter, but differences in current levels will make 150 much different for some people. There is currently a 1RM thread that is aimed at being a motivational thread.
Work harder, smarter, and longer - overtraining is simply a state of mind.

This.
A complete noobie adding 150 to his total would be easy. Adding 150lbs to an already 1600lb total for a seasoned lifter would take some serious time.

You could break it up into groups based on 1 rm totals
600, 800, 1000, 1200, etc

do u even lift?

This, but also keep in mind the difference between bulkers and cutters will be huge as well.

Then divide it more, I thought about weight classes, and doing a winner in each class.

This^ and also some people dont deadlift or squat. So 1000 lb bench press will be hard to get to...

Sounds like the number of divisions will be larger than the number of participants. Congrats, we are now a pee wee soccer league where everyone wins by default.

Another way of doing it is...
Everyone who wants to enter reports their starting stats and ending stats. Then we all vote on who the winner is. Everyone can take into account lifting experience etc. That way everyone can compete with everyone else fairly.
Game on!

so your saying i win? just to make sure lets do any 18 and under division. oh and gender. and race. and climate.
You are not a fragile ornament ready to collapse into an exhausted mass of goo simply because you squatted more than once in a 7-day week.
It'd be like preparing your entire life to bang 100 chicks in a row, getting tan, hitting the gym, making sure your hair looks right and reading the Kama Sutra, only to realize when you get there that you're gay and cannot get hard in the presence of women.

Not to be cocky or anything but everyone here knows I would win as I would make the largest gains in the shortest amount of time.

yes but I deserve the right to be cocky because of what I have done in the amount of time that I have and what I will do.

I have never said anything negative towards you nor will I. I have never put anyone's lifts down but I had people tell me **** when I was squatting 200. Just a few months ago I was struggling with what I thought was depression, binge eating, etc. and I can't even get some respect because I am proud of what I have accomplished and will accomplish.

I'm not saying you've ever put anyone down, it's just that you come off as a dick with all this "we all know I would win because (blah blah blah)"
All I'm saying is, be more humble. You're doing amazing things & everyone sees it based on your vids. No hate.. Keep up the hard work!

That's great bro. I am truly happy for you! Like I said, keep it up! I've just noticed a cockiness about you recently. It's one thing to be confident, it's another to show it off to everyone.
