    Not sore the next day?

On Tuesday i had a nice workout and felt it REAL hard in my chest the next day and i loved it, i could really feel it sore all over my chest.

I did the same thing yesterday but added bench press to my routine, then this morning i feel fine not sore.

If im not sore does that mean im not gaining muscle as its not broken down?

I felt it in my leggs again but not chest.

You do not always need to feel sore to rip your muscles to make them grow back bigger. You will get sore when doing like a new exercise that your muscle arnt used to, but when your muscles get more used to it, or you did not train as hard your will not get as sore. but as i said this does not necessarily mean your muscles are not growing.
The idea is to keep mixing up your routine every so often to shock your muscles into stimulation so they have nothing to get used to, thus will have a consistent increase in size.

Soreness is not and should never be used as an indicator of strength.

There is one true method of gauging progress, the iron, The Iron Never Lies.

So if your not getting that extra rep in, or going up in weight, then thats not progressing.

The mirror is also a good gauge, but can tend to sway dpending on the person.

that can be hard to accept when the mind is programmed for 'soreness' but he's right; the true indicator of progress is an increase in workload!

Saying it should never be used as an indicator isn't right.

IME if I don't get sore, that is one of the indicators that I didn't workout hard enough, along with many others.

If I don't get sore, normally I won't grow. Simple. It's different for everyone.

People should listen to fuzzy. I normally DO get sore after workouts. On thursday though, I did arms and my pump was WILD! It was extremely intense (I did high rep stuff). You shouldn't judge on that though either. So the next day I expect my arms to hurt like they always do, but they felt fine. What does that mean? Absolutely nothing. Could have been something I ate, or the amount of water I was drinking before, or 1000 different factors. It could even be a good thing, I don't know. My arms do look pretty big though right now, so I won't call it a waste at all. Next time maybe I'll increase, though it doesn't really matter. You can't judge by your soreness all of the time, if you put in all the work and KNOW you did, you shouldn't need soreness as your judge.

    EDIT:

Yea hit the incline, try dumbells and barbells. Your gym should have a pec dec. Dumbell Flyes are a last resort .

Perhaps concentrate on all your other bodyparts as well instead of just chest.

Make sure you work shoulders/biceps/triceps/back at the very least also you should do legs
