I've been thinking about ordering one of the containers of liquid egg whites so I can free up some room in the fridge and not have to separate eggs every day. Has anyone tried the liquid egg whites? Did you like them? Are they worth it? If you have, where'd you order them and what brand? Thanks!

I use egg whites all the time. Not the ones mixed up with stuff, just the straight up egg whites. I use them in oatmeal and to beef up omelettes/scrambled whole eggs...I also like to scramble them through meat sauces/ground beef/turkey with hot sauce etc.
I'm not sure what you mean by ordering them...I just buy cartons from the grocery store's egg area. Cheap and handy.Goal: Peace, love & happiness...and arms that go bump in the night.

I buy the liquid ones from the store. About 8 cartons a week (srs), the grocers always remember me
Saves a ton of time, the only con is that it's more expensive than just buying whole eggs and separating the yolks.#Mensan

We go through many cartons of egg whites a week, too. Right now, we either use HEB's store brand or Crystal Farms, depending on what's available but we've used different brands depending on what they carry where we live. My hubby drinks them with uncooked oats in the morning (you want to use pasturized egg whites if you go that route). Oddly, he hates eggs! Liquid in his shakes is the only way he'll consume them and enjoy it! I've recently taken to using them instead of water microwaved with my cooked oats in the morning to make a glorious, thick oatmeal. Anyway, pasturized are a lot easier to deal with than whole eggs and can obviously be used in the same way you'd use raw egg whites, in addition to being able to use them uncooked. Totally worth it, IMO.
I haven't tried ordering in bulk because I've always feared they'd warm before I got home. I know the nutrition store, Max Muscle carries those huge tubs of Lana's Egg Whites that can be ordered online, though. So long as what you choose is 100% pasteurized egg whites, they all taste and work the same.

At Costco you can get the Kirkland brand of liquid egg sub at a really good price. You get 6 cartons per box, and I know the box is under $10. Some people say there is a 'taste' with egg substitute (none that I can tell?) but they are made of mostly egg whites anyways, and nutritionally speaking pretty equivalent.

Oh wow, thanks for all the responses and info! I think I'll order some. Something like this was what I was referring too http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/ewi/liquidew.html sorry, I should have specified. I didn't even think about checking out those little cartons in the grocery store. I'll look into those too next time I'm out Thanks again!

HI. I've ordered those. I ordered the 4 gallon case with the pmup. very worth it. I have a mini fridge so i keep them in there at 30 degrees. thats the recommended temp for long time storage. I used them before a while back (2-3 yrs ago) and made everything very simple. i portioned them out and put them in containers. 1 cups worth and added them to my shakes and whatever else. I got to the point where i would just straight shoot a cup of this stuff. Remember this though, I eat for calories and not for taste. After a while it was easy, just have the cold egg aftertaste. not bad at all. At first it was a mental thing. then once that was out of the way i looked forward to it but very convieniant! pumped it out consume. that easy. just saves a lot of time. price isn't that bad i think. never really did the math to se whats cheaper. buying a couple dozen eggs or the four gallon case. but you also have to consider is the amount of time, cleaning, portioning, openning, etc you spend on doing the regular eggs.
hope that helps!
also i'm waiting to heal so i can start eating these again... on my second run of these.http://bodyspace.bodybuilding.com/HELLIONx360/

I've used Egg Whites International and Muscle Eggs (both are great). Muscle Eggs carries chocolate egg whites, taste just like chocolate milk. Also have a couple other flavors.
I also just buy the cartons at the stores like walmart and those are good. I have tried the ones from Costco and hated them. The taste just wasn't good.Shelly Eubanks
