Heard that!
Two squat sessions?
Two?
Good grief. Now I really feel lazy. Much respect!!!
I've found that Scivation Xtend powder is like an elixir of the Greek Gods when it comes to muscle soreness. I sip on it during workouts and have been amazed at the reduction of post workout soreness.
Two squat sessions.....damnitgirl!!! Don't hurt yourself....unless you are into that kinda thing.I may look like Santa Claus.....but I'm feeling like Elvis...........

I need to try some of that. I have tried several different things but nothing really seems to work. I went to workout at lunch and it was leg day (hate leg day) and usually do my kickboxing class on Tuesday afternoons. They changed instructors to work around soccer schedule so had step/strength training last night and we had to do a million dumbbell squats and some walking lunges.

Tuesday
Workday.
4th day in row not using crutches. Ah....the small achievements in life. Worked Fri, Sat, Sun...limping around. Rested yesterday on my day off....getting ready for the next stretch of workdays. Nothing more fun than keeping thy groin iced down. Chilling. Literally.
Couldn't stand the abscense from the gym. Snuck in the gym at work tonight for a brief workout. I'm hoping to meet a buddy at Gold's this weekend. It's a lot better when you have a spotter and can push yourself to failure.
All feels good afterwards....hopefully it will continue this way.
Weening of the perscription anti-inflamatories & will be taking OTC stuff tomorrow through the weekend. Drinking a gallons of water each day as I was warned by the doc to do so with these. I generally do, anyway.

Glad to see you are improving Dub. LOL! At the icing down of the groin. That could be a totally different kind of pain
The spotter does help definitely. My son is going with me this afternoon to the gym. He is 13 and they are lifting weights in PE now. They do squats, cleans, BP and OHP's. He wants me to do his workout this afternoon but his agreeement is he lets me teach him deads this weekend and do a back and shoulder workout with me if he controls the workout today. Always a good day when I get him to the gym with me. He told me he doesnt want to do any sissy dumbbell workouts so I am going to try my best to kick his ass with a tough workout on Saturday with the dumbbells.**DIRTYSOUTHCREW**

Wednesday
That is really cool to be getting your son in the gym, although, methinks he's gonna be a sore chap on Sunday-Tuesday after you whup him good with the the DB's. For the record, I really enjoy DB's and the freedom they allow on range of motion and comfortable positioning. So freaking versatile.
My current gym doesn't allow kids below 14 years old through the door. My new gym should be open in December and will allow my son to be a full member. http://evansfitnessclub.com/evans_fi...acilities.html
I'm really enthused about it. His main sport of interest is basketball. They will have a workout center in this gym that caters to basketball players. He says he wants shoulders like Dwight Howard. I can't wait.
Well....snuck up to the gym for my lunchtime session. My focus is to limit exercises the require me to pick up much weight and stand or walk with it. I'm hoping that doing this for a while will allow me to have my cake and eat it, too. Heal while still getting some semblance of session.

I know the owner really well so he lets him in. They won't allow under age 15 in there normally. My son is a big fella so he would for 15 if the other members say anything. We worked out yesterday and his form was really bad. I can't believe he actually listened to me and let me show him how to position himself for squats. I asked him if the coach at school tries to show them proper form and he said no. That really concerns me! He was also jumping when he was doing his OHP and said that is how they do them. Thinking I need to go have a chat with the coach. Hate to think of one of those kids injuring something just because the coach is not really training them.
New gym looks like it will be very nice. I wouldn't know how to act in a new gym I love my old skool gym though. Great people there who run it and everyone there is super nice and friendly.**DIRTYSOUTHCREW**

Monday & Tuesday
I'm getting excited about it. Hope the construction is on schedule...driving by it I can see it coming along. It's fully bricked in and most of the glass appears to be installed.
The plate loaded gear really sounds great. I'll be able to really work muscle groups in different ways. For some reason, the weight bearing lifts keep ending up with me reinjuring lower body. Sh!t pisses me off because of delays incurred to recover (gaps in this journal are all due to this).
I simply can't afford to screw anything up that would compromise my job performance. I maintain perfect attendance there except for the three surgeries in as many years. I work with the flu. I work with fevers. I work when there is so much fluid on my knee that it's crazy looking, I fukking work! I've got to be careful, though. If that means laying off deads & squats, then so be it. Some of the wanna-be Mr. Olympias on this site can kiss my mother-fukking ass when they "question my goals". I've got a job that I need, a family that I love that I'm providing for and a body to safely improve. I challenge any of 'em to shadow me for a month. Some of 'em would be crying like little pansyassbitches.
Screw 'em. I do this for me. I do this because I like it. Gotta love Internet Ninjas. Motherfukkers need to get real.

Monday
Well.
Really well.
Work is intense and long hours when I'm there (13.5-14 hours) but days off are mine....usually. Been getting extra overtime days but that's good. Zero time to chill and read for leisure on workdays. I get my foods tracked in my app but not always loggin here. 14 hrs work + 1 hr gym + 1.5 hrs driving + 45 mins shave-shower + 1 hr to prep food....
Like I said, when days off get here.....it's nice.
No new tweaks, but plenty of old ghosts haunting this body. I've had to back off here and there and allow thrice pulled groinage to heal. Coworkers were giving me sh!t about that. "Duuuude.....WTF? Why do you keep doing stuff that makes you limp around like that?". Extreme weight bearing movements seemed to be the cause...that and not allowing it to heal before resuming.
Other old ghosts are keeping at bay....currently. Grateful for that!!!
It's time to make hay while the sun is shining. 4 months off for surgery, 2 months off for groin.....now it's time to get 'r done.
diet is strict once again. Went through some wacky months while kicking out alkeehawl. Made allowances for snacks vs. drinking. That phase ended. Now it's fairly stable and consistent. I'm set up now for a gradual deficit and still ensuring 225-300 gr protein every day.
Thank you.
I see you are moving FORWARD with your life. Hyooooge step towards independence, self reliance and freedom. Absolutely tremendous progress. Tough times don't last, but tough people do.

I understand..went thru a few whacky weeks
oh ok months too
was not as strict with the diet as I could have been
was not gaining but was not losing
however, was dealing with a lot of stress and change
had to get packed and find a place to live
had to get son in his new Christian school
ooo lots of stuff to get thru
but...tried not to lose my mind in the midst of the sh*tstorm
things are calming down finally
how are you each day? oh what am I really asking..
are you dragging azz when ya get out of bed each day
or are you at a better place in your workout, your diet, your job, your family
where you are looking forward to each new day?
you are very good at coaching other people
being supportive and uplifting
just wanna know if you doing this for yourself too

I realize and accept that my role in many facets of life, is to be a rock.
Steadfast and stable.
Consistent.
Source of strength.
I help, advise and coach to the best of my ability, and I take my own advice. I'll lead a horse to water, demonstrate how to drink it, but they've gotta do their part. Can't drink it for 'em....can't drown 'em.
Life isn't easy. Individuals fail all around us. The key for me is having faith in God and knowing that I'm not an individual as long as I keep that faith. Sounds odd coming from me, right?
Some things can best be appreciated only after we work, struggle and sacrifice for them. I'm gonna be true to myself. Gonna be the best father I can be. Gonna be the best husband I can be....with this wife or the next......or the next
I'm just grateful that God seems to have a sense of humor. There are some truly comical things to see in the course of each day....if we look.
Dragging azz getting out of bed?
Well, first, I'm usually covered up with the dogs and have to extract my limbs carefully so as not too nudge 'em onto the floor. First step outa bed is preceded by a few stretches and knee bends that sound like a series of cracks, pops and strains. Contrast hot-cold-hot shower and a shave and a casein shake 'n coffee and I'm ready to tackle the day. Dogs let out for a few.
If working then it's two travel mugs from the Keurig.....if off then I grind some beans and brew a pot that's fit to drink.
I'm eager to get to work to get plugged into the flow of things. New puzzles to be solved each day.I may look like Santa Claus.....but I'm feeling like Elvis...........

you are not gonna get married that many times and you know it
this part I highlighted? yep I get that..hardest part of this whole thing for me..is that I tried my damndest to be the best (christian) wife and mother that I knew how to be. I did give it my all. there is little solace in that when the other person refuses to change. God and I have been having a few talks on that one along the way. Still dont know the answers. soo I get to walk away with my head held high, no regrets..maybe but I am still walking away.

Hey Dub! Glad I saw this. 55lb dumbell flyes? WTF man, lol. That's seriously heavy for a fly. I think 30's about all I can muster for who knows how many pathetic reps.
Hope you don't mind, read through a few pages. Whatever's going on, I really hope it works out for you. I can say this past year, lifting's helped me a ton (amidst personal turmoils). I suspect it's doing the same for you.
When are you coming to North Atlanta? I'd love to lift with you. I'd volunteer to go down yonder, but that's a long arse walk.
Grats on not drinking. That's a mega hard one. All my neighbors drink, so when I do keto and the beer's verboten, I'm pretty miserable.
Anyway, I hope you're well. I haven't seen you post as much lately and I miss laughing at ur humor. Cheers bud.
