your a good father Dubs.
you not only recognized this for what it was but acted on it
and are keeping a close and vigilant eye on your son ( and wife too)
you are one of the good ones ya know
I hope he continues to make improvements and finds some good coping mechanisms that might help with anxiety
you know me darling
my family tree got so many of us dealing with these kind of issues that if ya took a stick and whacked it
***** and booze bottles be flying down on your head
people tend to forget sometimes that we are all just real people with real issues we are dealing with in life
I hope now that he is back in school that maybe papa can take deep breathe and let it out again

Thanks to you all. We've got some serious catching up to do.
I'll be heading over to DSC thread on a regular basis here soon. Trying to shake off a freaking chest cold.....in the midst of Summer. It's fukking 101 degrees outside....a cold? WTF?
Sipping on a few bottles of G2 and taking my Flintstones chewables.
FWIW.....my new DSC t-shirt arrived yesterday. I ordered it a bit too small so I'd be inspired to lean down and wear it proudly.
Thanks bro. I gotta tell ya......my first workouts took a solid two weeks to get over the extreme soreness. Funny stuff. Starting back slow and cautiously to avoid injuries.
Thank you.....it is a great relief.
Your house pics really looked great. You'll have some great times there.
Thanks, Nannerman. I appreciate it.
Kind words. Thank you.
It's been a wild ride.....none of it any fun......but we seem to be sailing in calmer waters now.
***** and booze bottles.....sounds like a Hank3 album name.
I never had a clue how genetic this type of shyt is. A person could have everything in the world going for them.......and then wham!.......here comes the Grim Reaper along to fukk things up. Genetics can be a real mean motherfukker. My ignorant arse has been getting some post-graduate coursework in this mess.
Wish you all were coming over for lunch tomorrow......I just put a pork tenderloin in the fridge. It's soaking in some evoo, cilantro, rosemary and garlic.

I've got the grill fired up now to grill up some stuff for the family. I'm not really hungry but I suspect I will be by the time this cook is done.
My son asked me to grill up another batch of "Better Than 5-Guys Burgers" (his name....not mine. His favorite restaurant is a tie between a local sushi restaurant & any 5-Guys.....I was proud as hell when declared these burgers as the best. )
Here was the original batch that he proclaimed the best:
Grilled some wings along with the burgers.....
Wings come off pretty damn good if I do say so myself.
Some got a treatment of blue cheese, onions and 'shrooms

I finally got dialed in on the proper set up......used some of my wife's kitchen knives for spacers so the stone would get to the proper temp and maintain....but not scorch the crust. Gotta get these beyotches cleaned up before she notices the smoke tarnish.
An hour of time at this temp for a proper warm-up and then everything works great. The use of parchment paper is the ticket. I roll the dough on it and leave it beneath the dough for the entire cook. After 4.5 mins the pizzas are ready to check. All that is needed is just a tug on the parchment and the pizza slides off the stone onto my cutting board.

Long damn year.
Numerous medical issues for me this year.
Back injury that had me out of work for 6 weeks, but was able to avoid surgery.....tons of meds and spine injections. It's finally on the mend.
Recovering from another hernia surgery that I had in October. 3 more weeks out of work.
Crazy year.
It's ending on a great note, though. Feeling better had the best Christmas ever and getting back to my old self slowly but surely.
Looking forward to getting back in the gym soon.
