Dex did it the right way! Most pros wanted to get as big as possible as fast as possible and somewhere down that short road to being large they dunn goofed their physique up. I love how Dex came onto his first pro platform as just Dex. Not trying to be someone he wasnt. He got to an Olympia stage being Dex. He did what Dex does and the first few years he was critisized for being "small". "Hes good but hes just so small". That critique never made Dexter wanna gain 30 lbs of muscle and end up looking bad like Cutler or Ruhl etc. He just kept being who he was. Over the years he accumulated a few lbs of fiber here and a few there. Every year he stepped on the stage looking a little bigger than in 2009 he came out looking just a few lbs heavier than the year before but those few lbs of fiber put him over the top. He was a muscle mutant now but since the weight came so slowly, his abdomen remained tight and aesthetic. He to me became one of the first and very rare combos of elite size and elite proportion...He remained within normal human proportions, thats why he became who he is today because his baby steps allowed him to be recognized as something a normal person can relate to. Nothing is really ugly(cept his face during a MM pose)
