Well actually I'd like to look 59 and act 25 forever but that's not going to happen unless I get a little surgery and a few young guys.
Let's do the cliffs method:
*been lifting since 21 (no, u can't count that high)
*competed in BB in early 30's (Cory Everson era)
*also did some bench press comps
*loves to be strong but wants muscles too
*started lifting more intensely 2 years ago after getting down to middle school weight of 108
*would like to add deadlift to comp meets but doesn't like to bend over (well..sometimes)
*maybe add squat next decade
*just got a PL coach, HarryBeast and MakeGoBoom's coach and buddy Wade
*is excited but a little scarrred
*First bench meet of the year: March 30
Umm, anything else?
Oh, been using the Swiss bar to bench because of shoulder issues but got to get over to that straight bar pronto. Started using it last week but with a closer grip.
My typical 3-day split
Sunday- Legs, traps
Tuesday- Chest, bi's
Thursday- Back, tri's
Saturday- Pushups, abs, pull-ups (not every Sat)
Calves and hams get rotated every workout
This schedule may change when Wade gets his big hands on me. We shall see...
Haven't done pushups in awhile, so kinda excited about getting down there on the floor for some pushing and sweating :-)
Have a good weekend everybody! I'm headed out for a brewski.

Love that my girls are in! I gotta learn how to do those gifs. I can't be tech stupid all my life. This log I'm going to learn how to make big colored letters; someday I'll make it out of elementary school.
Hey girls, I know both of u are probably sweating right now- TX and Aussieland. Did you know how the rest of us are suffering? I have to keep taking a big pot of hot water out to throw it on the ground because my dogs paws freeze after about 15 seconds!Training log:

We had rain and freezing weather today. Down to 28 degrees during the day. That's a big deal for Texas. Shut down roads and bridges.
To make colored letters use "color=blue" inside the brackets at the beginning of the paragraph. Use "/color" inside brackets at the end.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

28 in TX? Heck last time I was there, it was 288! Did I ever tell you that I used to work for Dr. Pepper? Funny, funny but could have been very tragic story about a convention I went to for work there. I was at a strip joint with some of the guys and we were walking back and a drunk driver hit me and I was on one of ur 20 lane 90mph overpasses with the same below. I flew over the guard rail but didn't land on the freeway below because I flew at an angle and rolled down a hill. Damage- a stretched knee ligament. Should have been dead. Oh well, I'm here for a reason I guess. Could it be to deadlift?
Oh, I wanna make BIG colored letters. U prob know that one
Thanks!Training log:

Wow! This is crazy story. Seriously. Holy sh!t! You got lucky. Yes we have ridiculous freeways and ridiculous speeds. If you drive the speed limit you damn well better be in the far right lane.
I believe to change size you do "size=+3" (or whatever number) inside brackets at the beginning and "/size" inside brackets at the end so......

To find GIF's I just google what I want with GIF at the end.... Eg "clapping GIF" and then I look at the image results. You get the URL and then embed on the forum it as if it's an image (instructions in link above).

Because the rain and cold made ice. There are some pretty high bridges here that freeze at the top. They become like an automobile slip n' slide.
I think my bulk helps all my lifts but it only helps so much because technique is the other piece of the puzzle. Food is fuel.POWERLIFTING TRAINING JOURNAL

I get all freaky when I start gaining weight. I love to be really lean. But ur right; no weight gain, no muscle gain.
Hi boy boy. Thanks for stopping in. I'd say u have a nice 20 incher but that would get the girls too excited about that left arm in ur avi.Training log:
