And one other thing... if Aspartame decomposed into all those toxic chemicals like that article is claiming, there would be people dropping like flies around the world.

I did a Google search and only one site carries that article, and it isn't a reputable source. Quit posting this bull**** and spreading these damn lies.

The one thing that makes no sense to me in this article (other than the entire article!) is the fact that there was methanol found in the Gatorade. If the point of the article is to warn us of the dangers of methanol poisoning due to breakdown of aspartame, why would there be methanol in the Gatorade? Gatorade does not contain Aspartame or any other artificial sweetener. And creatine, as far as I know, does not degrade into methanol. So where did the methanol in the Gatorade come from damn it?!

I'll keep on drinking my diet sodas with great enthusiasm!

And remember....if you eat pop-rocks and drink a coke, your stomach will explode.....LOLOL GIVE ME A BREAK. There are many reputable sources that give scientific proof that these people are full of crap. While I believe that most things should be in moderation, I seriously doubt that aspertame will be the end of man kind. Just a thought, how many of these string walking , tree hugging, naturalist are smokers or drink alcohol, but artficial sweetners will kill us all.....hmmmmmmm.

*just a side note: pop rocks for those that dont know were a popular candy in the early 1980's that would react with your saliva and pop in your mouth. It was urban ledgend that your stomach would explode if taken with a carbonated drink. The rumors were rampant during the mid 80's and everyone seemed to know someone who's cousins, mothers, sisters boyfriends, aunt, who say Ferris pass out at 31 flovors, who died from this.
