I did a similar thing. My first flight was to Hawaii. Island hopped. That trip I flew 7 times.
Within the nest year I took 6 more flights..then I stopped.
We spoke about this in a previous post.
My first time was when I was 28.She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

The cool thing about a plane though is that you wouldn't want to be in control if you could, because you're not a pilot. ANDDDD you can treat the whole experience like a magic teleporting machine. Seriously, if you close the window and fall asleep it's like magic. You fall asleep on the east coast and wake up on the west coast, or wherever you're going. It's not like riding in a car where you feel like maybe you could drive better than the driver AND there are a million windows to look out and see everything going on.

Deadlifts felt seriously light. Maybe it's the weight gain or my mind set, but I just crushed them. I didn't want to stop after this workout. I feel I had a good 400+ for 5 in me if I really grinded one out. I look forward to seeing what the coming weeks have in store.
Yeah, we will land around midnight-ish, so it will work out well lol.
I absolutely hate roller coasters. Ugh, they drive me crazy.
Thanks, Homeslice! Just trying my best to keep things simple. It's all about balance .
Okay, so I'm only one year older than you were. I don't feel so bad now, lol.
That makes a lot of sense. You guys have really made me feel a lot better about this whole experience. I'll still be nervous, but I'll have a more level head going into it.*Professional comic book geek* *semi-pro cartoon collector* *full time nerd*

All kidding aside, well maybe, flying isn't that bad. WE just have to realize that we could die driving to the store or gym. We could die in your sleep, getting out of the shower...you get the idea.
This might be my last post on here...WE DO NOT KNOW when our last day will be.
God knows the number of our days down here. We do not. We should live every day as if it is our last. Trust Him and everything will be fine.
“Man’s days are determined; you (God) have decreed the number of his months and have set limits he cannot exceed” (Job 14:5).
All the days ordained for me
were written in your book
before one of them came to be.
(Psalm 139:16)
Now that you feel better. Do you want to know what the DC 10 incident was 8 months before my first flight.
Here's a hint;
It happened at Ohare...

This, you'll be all good, Bill!
I wasn't a huge flying person either, but this last January I've had to fly out of two snow storms, 1 major blizzard...lol
Was quite fun actually, I just saw it as a "roller coaster"
I like to play games when I fly, as in - right when you take off, lift up your feet and you will feel a bit of weight-less-ness
It's funBlog:

That last set of squats was probably close to an RPE of 9. I attribute this to focusing on keeping my chest up every single rep now.
I've noticed my elbows are getting achy/sore from all the squatting. Anyone else experience this, and if so, what did you do about it?
Have a good weekend, all! TY, sir.
Which is it, bad or not bad? lol.
I know I'll be fine, it's just a matter of doing it and conquering my fear.
That's the plan!
I hate roller coasters! haha.
I think I'll try your game to distract myself.
In before flying just for the hell of it.

Yeah, that's my call then. The lower placement gave my wrists and elbows some serious pain. I used wrist wraps, ace bandages, and finally, I said, "fuk this! Squatting shouldn't require this much nonsense and pain." It was partially due to poor thoracic mobility, but it was the overall positioning that was the issue for me.
I switched back to high bar...never turning back!!!
But...to each their own."The code of Bushido is harsh and relentless."

First off Strong everything in that workout!
It was the worst. I felt safe flying the DC 10 to Hawaii for my first flight ever.
I figured that since the DC 10 had been grounded for inspections, after the incident, that it probably was the safest plane flying at the time.
I had a 747 for the return flight..that thing was HUGE!She approached with her hand extended,. I slowly stepped back. "No" she said. "I just want to shake your hand. You're amazingly gorgeous." As she walked by me she copped a biceps feel.

I love flying and statistically its one of the safest ways to travel. I just think of how many jets had taken off and landed in Calgary in my lifetime and there has never been a major accident, now times that by every major city in North America and how many flights a day there are every day and they take off and land safely. We only notice when they make the news but that is rare as heck. Which reminds me of the one recently which was so funny as they rushed to get the story out they screwed up big time. Every time I watch it I can't help but burst out laughing!

I switched up to high bar because of my shoulder, wrist and elbow joints. It felt pretty good . Dat bench felt pretty stellar, too!
I went straight to training clients after my session and barely had time to eat. I'm exhausted. It's just past 8pm and I'm ready for bed. That's what happens when you get old lulz. I'm taking a smaller jet there and a jumbo home. I wonder if they'll let me run around after we're in the air .
Oh lawd I remember that news clip! LOL.
Trying to follow in your footsteps, brotha .
Let's do it!

woooo 173 lbs! someone's getting joocy for summer time! Nice job man
I'm not a huge fan of flying either, not because I'm scared of the plane crashing, but because I hate being crammed in a tiny seat for too long! My fiancée gave me some of her Dramamine last time we flew to Costa Rica and it straight knocked me out. Left Philly awake and woke up in another country, can't beat that!www.3DMUSCLEJOURNEY.com

I was feeling good today, and decided to do my own thing on deadlifts. I ended up attempting a PR, 415 for a triple, and missed the third rep. I was about to call it a day when it dawned on me that I had a bit of doubt going into that set. I got my mind right and then ripped it. My form could have been tighter, but it was a max effort so, so yolo. Here's the set progression:
135x5
225x4
275x3
325x3
365x3
395x3
405x1
415x2 - missed third
415x3 - PR (vid)
