Miscellaneous supplement discussions (supps from bb.com)
Anyone try out the cinnamon roll myo yet? I have two tubs at my apt that Im going to try when I get home tomorrow.

If I buy milk from the grocery store and get it home only to realize that the jug is expiring tomorrow...I sure as hell am not driving to punch a farmer in the face and tip his cow over.

Someone just posted in the review forum, n00b.

Gaspari Nutrition's previous Myofusion was one of my favourite tasting proteins around. I looked forward to drinking it. However, with the probiotic cinnamon roll it just wasn't great. It wasn't horrible however. It tasted fake, I don't know how else to describe it. I also have a 5lb tub of Truteins cinnabon protein, and I plan on sticking with Trutein.

oh well. one thing I cant complain about is bb.com's return policy. if the 1st one sucks, the 2nd goes back.

I think UP 2.0 is the living proof of the idea that protein price increases in the future will not deter people from purchasing protein products.
In the UK it costs the equivalent of 42$ for a 2lbs tub.

Interested to hear how you like. I have had very good results with, but seems to be hit or miss by each person

I didn't like UP cinnaroll (actually dumped half the shake away). Kind of tempted to try other brands, but concerned I won't like those either.

I am as well. While Ive also heard both, a buddy of mine has reported his workouts suffering recently and he believes it is the culprit. And some report it being the best thing theyve ever used.
Also, and only because it was free to me, I have cinnabon trutein coming as well. Figured Id give trutein an honest shot, and being free I cant complain about the pricing.
We will see.

I'd bet that the $1.50 to get a Trutein sample would be worth it.

what Im most interested is which one of these two threads will reign supreme in these times of uncertainty.
By the way, no trutein up here. Choice is quite easy when it comes to protein = Old myofusion. If the new one is worse then XF or 2.0 if cash is flowing

the other one not only got a head start on me, it also hinted towards being the new hangout.
I think I got it with the coolface though.

honest question here.. i know theyre different type of blends.. but how did TNS came up with this awesome (or so they say) tasting trutein protonz with the macros it has, when XF seemed to have a rough time flavoring UP and keeping reasonable good macros and they're no noobs at it.. then out of nothing comes TNS with truteins magical macros and taste?.. mmmmmmmmmmmhhhhhhh
same with protean... people say its good tasting... and if you look at the macros they look very different to trutein..

up 2.0 is a meal replacement more than a straight protein. that's why there's up whey
its macros and even the additional creatine serve to emulate a red meat (minus the carbs)
didnt you watch my review of all the up 2.0 flavors???

mmmhh nope.. i dont think UP is targeted as a MR, other than protein and high cals it has nothing in there that might replace a meal.. its a good protein but the macros are most likely the result of the flavoring.. perhaps 22g protein 120cals was not possible to achieve for that UP taste?.. and seems fishy to me how TNS did it.. look at protean profile for another example

Look at the sources. Up 2.0 has whey isolate and micelluar casein. The calories come from the encapsulated sunflower oil.
Truteen uses most milk protein concentrate and milk protein isolate.
Now a more comparable would be UP 1.0

mmmhhh i see.. if the type of proteins is what makes the difference, how about protean.. cant remember how the blend looked like and dont know first hand if it really tastes good.. only that its close to calories to trutein... but still has double the fats and cholesterol than TT claims, even with the nucleotides and omega 3 of it.

Up2.0 is technically a casein/MRP. Its profile is that way because it is designed to be that way, plain and simple.
You do realize that XF offers UP whey as well right? It has great macros for everyone wanting as few fats/carbs as possible.

That.
It is my understanding that UP2.0 was purposefully designed to be a complete meal replacement with a quality protein blend (51% micellar casein, 49% whey isolate) and health fats in addition to an amount of creatine monohydrate that might emulate the ingestion of red meat such as a steak (414mg).
It was designed with this purpose in mind; the flavoring system doesn't significant affect the macronutrient profile compared to the actual design of the product.
Take a look at Ultra Peptide Whey, which is also awesome-tasting (particularly, IMHO, the Arctic Lemonade and Mochachhino) but has a profile that matches almost all other wheys on the market.
