well aslong as you knew the difference and what it is you want and not listen to these idiots here
subjective, right? unless everyone on earth has the same taste buds as your self. I guess it would mix diffrently if your dumping 3 times the protien in the same size cup you always do, Einstein says use more water I wouldnt consider over priced being that they use superior ingridients I use myofusion, however I am capable of comparing lables and 1 look at myofusions main ingredient vs whey 60 main ingredient shows why their is a price differential my myofusion main ingredient probably comes from china. However I am friends with the head ninja at GNC, check my posts I broke down how much they get paid for what they sell in the store. as do I shop else where however like I said 1 strong look at the two myofusion and whey 60 shows superior ingredients its not hard to tell what would you suggest for him whey on? myofusion? ok he knew what he wanted anyway and you obviously have no idea what your talking about ill post labels of the two if you like what are you taking again?

I will in the local GNC I go to from time to time, they are really good about not harassing. They'll try to do a add-on sale when I'm at the register but that is about it. There is just one lady there who is older that made me chuckle once... I told her I wanted some Animal Stak and Animal Rage, she walked over to another employee and I could just make it out that she asked the guy.."This guy is asking for animal rage, is he trying to be funny? We don't have anything like that do we?" the guy she asked laughed and came over and helped me and showed her the Animal line of products by Universal. So they might not always been the most knowledgeable but they usually aren't so pushy in the stores around me.

Yes but the thing is you get half off the cheaper item... So if you have a really $$$ item and a $ item you get the half off the $ item. That is how all buy one get one half off works. The fact the OP said he is buying a cheap 1lb bag of whey to get a expensive one half off doesn't make sense unless that one pound bag was more expensive then the expensive whey.

I guess it really just has to do with which employee you come across. There's definitely those guys that has commission on their mind the whole time they speak to you, but some genuinely try to help customers make the best decisions.
Actually, just last week I had respect for a pretty big employee I was dealing with until he recommended a BCAA product he used and "put on 50lbs on his bench lift in a week"
'I look at this ninja like hes retarded.'

You can't really blame them if they're getting kickbacks. Most folks would sell anything if they could make a buck or two on the side. But at the end of the day, they're salespeople.
Just ask them what arginine does. If they mention anything about blood flow or 'pumps', it's a telltale sign. Ninja disarming question.

when going to GNC the best thing to do is know what you want, grab it and leave a quickly as possible. If you are looking for close dates then just tell the associate that. If you run into a a person who is excessively pushy then i would just find the cheapest thing in the store and buy on of them, that will piss him off.

I once got protein there and i told the girl i was just getting by until my bb.com order came in. The girl proceeded to say that bb.com is a dangerous website and that they put bad tainted things in there stuff and bad thing come out of there every day.
Im like. no..............
You have to understand that even if you can get 100 servings for 10 dollars. Or you could get the 10 servings for 100 dolalrs
They will bait at you to get the 100 dollar one. they don't care. They want the most money sales. They will say "theres more amino acids in this and less/more carbs.. and then they will ask you for your goals... if you say its fat loss.. they will be like YEA ITS GREAT FOR THAT.
I remember i grabbed creatine mono, and the guy said, , , dude thats only going to last you like 10 days. And it said 50 servings of 5g on the bottle. I was like ok maybe i shouldn't.. (because i didn't know much back then).. He directed me towards cell tech and said its the best creatine to ever come to the market and that im missing out if i dont get it. (i never got it. as i went online and found out it was bunk)
its a joke. If you go in there, KNOW what you getting before you buy it. they are actually pretty good at convincing you.:+)

Yeah, if you don't go in there knowing what you're looking for then I'm sure they will walk all over you. When I was in high school and naive about most supplement stuff, they just gave me whatever popular brand they were pushing at the time.
But don't get me wrong, they're prices aren't all bad. Do YOUR OWN research (because there are a ton of dudes taking crap they don't really know about), and then head to GNC. Here in Baton Rouge, LA the guys I've met there are super nice, and after I've found what I need they'll chat for a sec.
BB.com is an amazing site, but there's still something nice about person-to-person interaction when buying something. Just be smart and read up on what you're taking, and you'll be fine wherever you buy your stuff.

they do work on commission and quotas, ever notice how they ask u what multivitamins your taking? there expected to sell vitamins to 1 out of every 5-6 customers, they get commission on 3rd party products and the gnc gold card. They actually make little to no commission on gnc prodcts but are required to sell it,i believe the only thing they get commish on gnc pro performance amp and beyond raw, ironically everytime ive walked in there they push that. Personally im a muscletech guy but i get my stuff online. I do buy ultimate nutrition protein isolate from gnc, its a wheat protein so it does lack alot of aminos but i use that mixed w my muscletech and i take post workout aminos, glutamine, arganine. $15 bux for a 3lb jug isnt bad in my eyes. Sadly some employees have no clue what there talking about but some do to....sounds like he was kind of a hardass

Me: Oh if I buy this 1lb bag for really cheap, I can get this expensive protein half off so I save money.
isnt is you buy the expensive protein full price and get the cheap **** half price??
you not gonna buy a 30 dollar protein and get a 60 half off its you buy a 60 dollar one and get the 30 half off

When I first shopped at gnc I was going for on's platinum protein but the gnc guy pointed me to the amplified wheybolic extreme 60 protein because he told me that it had more amino acids, never went back since.

most employees dont get commission on gnc brand crap, only managers do and it might be a dollar or two. the biggest payers of commission are 3rd party products like cellucor and bpi. we (been an employee for over a year now and my last day is tomorrow) sell the gnc brand crap because if we dont then we lose our jobs. theres a fairly equal argument on both sides since there are alot of things we have to sell that are absolute garbage, but ive seen alot of egotistical people refuse to buy anything an employee recommends even when the customer doesnt know what theyre talking about.
examples:
fat women buying cheapo fat burners that have nothing more than 50mg of egcg and 25 mg of caffeine believing its better than far more effective burners
guys that weigh 130 buying cheap mass gainers that have maybe 400 cals per serving
people unable to read labels and perform basic math on cost per serving for proteins of simliar quality/taste
other various instances where ive pointed out certain ingredients dont do **** and that they should be looking for ingredients x,y,z instead but their broscience overcomes my advice
30 people a week buying glutamine powder/pills thinking its doing something for them when i tell them its not gonna do **** and to go research it
i agree that some gnc employees are dumbasses, but ive been the type to make company standards for numbers on the customers that act like they know it all, then hook up the rest of the customers with stuff that actually works and is worth itNO!!!! SUPPLEMENTS DO NOT INCLUDE BABIES!!!!

only managers make commission on gnc brand bro, and on that would only be like a buck or two. i can easily sell a tub of C4 for 40 bucks and make $3 and not have to try
she was either a manager or she was new and didnt know what she was talking about
truth: we have to sell it to keep the job
