6 Weeks Out
5:19 came this morning and Mikko was squalling at the bedroom door for his breakfast. Had intended to sleep for an extra hour, but since I was awake, fed him, threw my gym clothes on, made and drank a cup of black coffee and went to the gym for an extra day of cardio. Not only is he a good lap-cat, he also eliminates the need for an alarm clock.
Thanks, Larry and Lynore. I feel that I'm pretty much on track this go-around. This morning at 6 weeks out, prior to fasted cardio, I weighed in at 166.5.
Workouts for the coming week will basically remain the same, perhaps including a few drop sets and/or back-off sets. Cardio also will not change for another week; 5 days on the TM for 35 minutes (intervals of 2 minutes at 4.2, incline of 3 followed by 1 minute at 5.7).Inactivity Kills!!!
My journal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=140991491 Age is NOT an acceptable excuse.
Played with dinosaurs as a child. Back then everyone was thin; it was a matter of out-running the raptors or being one of their meals.

5 Weeks Out and Counting
My weight on Friday morning prior to cardio was 165 lbs; thus I met my targeted goal. Coaching session on Friday consisted of 3 sets of 12 on 4 Back exercises, measurements and 1/2 an hour of posing.
As today is my Off-Day, the only major changes for the following week are:
1. Early morning, fasting cardio will increase to 40 minutes on the Treadmill (intervals/cycles of 2 minutes at 4.2, incline of 3 followed by 1 minute at 5.7). Though I've never been one to weigh myself daily, I'll probably do so primarily to make sure that the scales don't drop below 160.
2. Will attempted to do my core and Ab exercises immediately after cardio so as to shorten afternoon sessions. This should enable me to keep my afternoon sessions to about 1 and 1/2 hours.
3. Practice 20 minutes of posing per day. Have narrowed the music for my routine down to 1 of 5 different Metallica songs; am totally confused cause I like all of them.Inactivity Kills!!!

Every time I screw around trying to get one decent pose for an avi shot, I realize how ridiculously difficult good posing is to perform. After about five minutes, I'm starting to cramp up, and I'm wheezing from the effort.
Better you than me is all I can add here, Bob!
Mikko is a good-looking little guy.No brain, no gain.

1 - looks like your are peaking with plenty of wiggle room and no last minute changes
or second thoughts. Smart plan.
2 - funny that the common internet wisdom on sub 1hr w/o's. Mine run 90+ mins also.
3 - posing is an intense w/o in itself. Tuff work. I've gotten DOMS from posing.
Solid planning Bob.

Thanks, FIM. Have been off the grid for the last 3 months. My wife had the first of four surgeries a few days before Halloween. Needless to say, I was glad to see 2014 go. Finally brought here home a couple of weeks ago following a month of rehab in a wound facility (about 50 yards from the back door of the gym). While she was there, I'd do my cardio at 6 a.m. and then eat my packaged breakfast with her at the facility. In the afternoon, I'd spike her ice cream with BCAAs and take it to her prior to my afternoon workouts. Am still maintaining my hardcopy journal despite not keeping this one up to date. Am back to running a PHAT program. From a personal standpoint, not much change. Here's a pic during a rest period today.
