I've seen a few of their videos... basically a pair of idiots who are afraid of lifting heavy weight and have difficulty with the English language. I recall them talking about how benching heavy will snap your shoulder. They focus more on telling people to avoid lifting heavy and doing a lot of compound movements rather than explaining safe ways to do various heavy lifts or how to build support muscles with accessory movements to avoid inuries etc.

I respect and really like Ian - this video was good. He has a tendency to be over the top and too enthusiastic about really inconsequential things but he's young so it's quite understandable.

In all seriousness, Ian/JB was likely going through a dark, stressful period in his life during much of the time he posted here. Unfortunately, it resulted in multiple run-ins with various members & admins, and this resulted in a permaban. This was unfortunate because I could see that he was just beginning to become more of a "normal" guy towards the end of his tenure here. I guess everyone grows up, but there are always casualties in the battle. A hidden blessing in all this is that it probably motivated him to get his business up & running.

Well, I disagree with you on that. I think Ian would laugh along with me here & agree that he has done quite respectably despite having ginger genetics .... People have to realize that the tendency of highly knowledgable guys to have average or unspectacular physiques has a logical explanation. If they had the kind of genetics where you can look at the weights & grow, there'd be less motivation to dig in, read, & learn all you possibly can in order to put a dent in your mediocre genes. But instead, some folks were dealt a truly bum hand & have to literally bleed for every sliver of progress. This prompts a more rigorous investigation & acquisition of knowledge toward surmounting the lack of giftedness in size and/or leanness.

Does becoming lean really have much to do with genetics? I have firsthand experience in seeing that the gaining (and aesthetic) aspect relies heavily on genetics, but i would think anyone could become reasonably lean with dedication.
