What is a 'heaping scoop' ?

    Hey,

just a quick one, with protein servings, what constitutes a 'heaping scoop' ? I usually pack my scoops flat, but when trying to hit my macros this can be important.

In the attached photos, what is the correct serving size, or closest to?

    Thanks

Goals are invaluable. Pick one, and reach it. Let nothing stop you, especially not yourself. Don't change goals flippantly. Motivation will come from progress, which can only be seen when measured against a goal. If you change your goals before ever achieving them then you will lose all motivation, all reason for doing, and you will fail. Completely, and utterly: success, or failure, is up to you, and what you are willing to give.

I would assume where the line is because that is what the nutrition stats read on the back and how much it is, so 1 and 2 are both wrong but 1 is close enough

If there is no line around it (usually you can see/feel it) then it would be a rounded scoop like on your first pic

"heaping scoop" has been a standard measure in cooking since long before Betty Crocker was even thought of. Basically it's everything that fit in the scoop without falling over the edge. Rounded is just that, a rounded mound that is about level at the rim and rises above to a gentle peak in the center. Heaping is basically get everything you can in one scoop

I stand corrected, like I said if there is the line around it, that is where the nutritional facts are calculated

    Great.
The scoops that have come with my Dymatize and ON proteins both have lines, but they are down around the handle. So I'll go with #1 and get a little extra in.

    Thanks

If you are that concerned about it buy a small scale and weigh it out.. When I scoop my protein I have it over flowing and then do a balancing act from jug to shaker so I don't dump any of it. lol
