    Unroasted Peanuts, difficult to find?

I'm having trouble finding unroasted, unsalted peanuts anywhere. I have tried WHole Foods, Trader Joe's, Safeway, Nob Hill, and even online. It doesn't seem like anywhere sells them. Am i missing something here? I see many varieties of unsalted peanuts, but they always are roasted. Does anybody know where to buy or can provide a link to them?

    Thank you

I am under the impression that raw peanuts aren't sold because of a bacteria in them. Even "raw" almonds are steamed.

This is good to know. Makes sense since peanuts are grown in the ground amongst all the bacteria

Maybe buy the ones in the shell? Have those had anything done to them?

roasted improves the taste and texture, and also kills most bacteria. What is the benefit of raw peanuts?

I assumed since I buy raw sunflower seeds, almonds, cashews, and walnuts that it is more beneficial and healthy in its natural form.

Just curious, does roasting them reduce their nutritional value?
