anyone ever mod their desert boots? I really want to get rid of the heel on them but I'm afraid of somehow fuking it up and throwing 100$ down the drain...So far I'm thinking of using like a palm/orbit sander to just slowly sand it away. At first I thought it could probably be done by somehow slicing/cutting off that part of the 'crepe' but that would probably be too easy to mess up. I haven't even seen any pics from anyone who has done this online. Will take pics and post if I go through with it.
reason= I much prefer the look of the heelless Db's like the opening ceremony ones. When I hold up the boot at eye level and hide (with a piece of paper or something) the part of the heel I want to shave away, just looks better to me.

Yes they are leather boots and I've put a band aid over it. It only happens on the right foot, I guess I'll have to man up until it wears out. Thanks all.

not sure if these would work in your case, but any shoes I wear sockless gets a pair of these. Walmart sells these for like $2-3 a pair

Dress like a flaming homosexual. Have your parents buy you a bmw. And most importantly walk around like you have a dik up ur azz and talk with a lisp...You do that and you'll get more beaver than a mountain man

I agree with this. Would button top button of shirt, then the windsor knot would look more crisp on the shirt. Definitely looks good with the half spread though. As for the cardigan, I'd unbutton the top button and bottom button, makes it still look formal but not too formal. Otherwise, looking sharp my man.

Anyone got a place to order cheap, well fitting, blank T-shirts with different colour options?
Someone recommended blankstyle.com, I ordered 4 T-shirts and found out after they tagged a ****ing 52 dollar shipping fee to it for something that was 30 bucks so I ****ing cancelled it. Anyone know any other place?
Also does this belt work with jeans?

Always always always rock the windsor with a spread. I mean, it's honestly personal preference, but I think anything other than a windsor with a spread looks kind of silly. The knot just looks too small against the neck.
If you have a point collar, or something where the gap between both collars is much smaller, then a regular knot looks good as well.
In that case, a windsor knot would actually look stupid because the knot would be too big and "overpower" the spread. But the four-in-hand knot looks perfect because it's not too wide, but fits just right in the space given to work with.
*Edit*
And when I say windsor, I mean half windsor. Honestly never seen the need to do a full windsor before. Half windsor is plenty big enough, anything bigger imo and you start looking like ESPN/Sunday NFL Countdown newscasters.

Thanks for the knot critique brahs. I'm new to wearing ties and my black label shirts I never had to fasten the top button. My purple label shirts with the same exact neck size are much more roomier and I have no problem buttoning them.

Does anyone get their regular button down shirts tailored? I fit well into a XXL but the body is too loose. If so, how much does it cost?

About tailoring...what about jeans? I have 3 pairs of Joe's classic cut jeans. 2 are ok after hemming, but the 3rd is a bit too wide at the bottom. Is it a big deal to have a tailor fix that or no? I'm washing them now to see if they shrink but I doubt it.
