Thanks.
Eating at a 500 calorie deficit. Using IIFYM and IF, but I tend to stick to whole foods anyway. I got down to about 13%/14% last time but after 9 months of dieting, I'd had enough so I was psychologically ready for the bulk. This time, I'm looking to get down to at least 12. One thing that's on my menu every day is salad - hence the user name.
Lifting-wise, I bulk with a 3 on 1 off - Legs/Shoulders Chest/Tri Back/Bi. For cutting, I use a 5 day split Legs/Chest/Back/Rest/Shoulder/Arms/Rest.
Last time, I was doing a lot of cardio - running and swimming. This time I intend to keep cardio to a minimum with perhaps 2 or 3 short sessions a week.

Sounds like you have got it nailed man and you know what works for your body really well ! I look forward to seeing the results !
Guess you have got To know exactly how you react over time , when your body fat was at its lowest point was your skin loose if you don't mind me asking ? If so did you did anything to remedy it ?
Your making me question my current plans though haha !
I'm concidering a bulk when I'm done with my second transformation - it will have been a 6 month cut from 125.6 kg hopefully down to 95. I got to 102.9 in round one took 2 weeks off to let my body recover and to shock my metabolism again as things slowed down - went back up to 104.9 and yesterday's weigh in was 101.7 but it was inconsistent with my usual weigh in times .
Depending on what the next 2 weeks being Ill guess I'll make the decision at this rate of steady progress I should rock in at about 97 kg in two weeks .
If I get to 97 that quickly I think I'll set the bar higher so long as the skin does not become to loose.
I'm thinking out loud into the thread now so I'll shush !
Thanks again for the inspiration any thoughts would be much apriciatedTrain hard, eat clean, stay focused – be happy!

Yes. It's the one tiny downer I have. I didn't have a lot but there was a little bit hanging around the waist and lower pelvis area. I might get lucky and it did seem to tighten up a bit before the bulk, but I guess that's in the lap of the gods.
You'll read a lot about remedies and preventions but at the end of the day, it's all down to how much elasticity your skin retains. You could try losing slowly and using creams, drinking water, etc, but if that elasticity isn't there, there's a good chance that you're going to get loose skin whatever happens if you lose a lot of weight.
On the upside, I've heard that if you stay lean, it often does tighten up. It's just a question of time. And, like I said, it did seem to tighten a little for me.
Thinking about it though - I'd rather have the loose skin than still be fat. And when people have asked me the same question, I've told them not to worry. Wear it as a badge of honour. Every time you look down at it, it should be a reminder of your hard work and dedication and instead of feeling down, you should feel proud.

Probably one of the best things I've read on here so far - man that's an awesome way to put it! Thanks for taking the time out to read and reply to what I said
Also what you said about learning to stay lean will play a major factor if my arms are anything to go by then my mid section should follow!
Thank you again ^_^Train hard, eat clean, stay focused – be happy!

Hey!
Hey everyone, my first post so I thought I'd post some progress pics.
Initially the goal was to loose weight I then decided to put on muscle mass. It's a work in progress so hopefully I'll be able to get my goals checked!
In the first picture I am 87kg
In the second picture I am 77kg
In the third picture I am 80kg
I want to gain but for weeks my weight remains the same
It becomes too costly for me to stick to organic protein sources
As far as the time gap between each pic, I cannot remember exactly but they are a fair months apart. (even the last two)Last edited by MoMo78666; 06-29-2012 at 02:16 PM.

4 months progress
Not nearly as impressive as most of the changes in here, but a change non the less. I started out at 254 lbs and I am now down to 223 lbs in 4 months. Can anyone give an estimate of my current bodyfat? Thanks for the inspiration and for keeping me motivated, I cant wait to see what the next 4 months bring.

Well I went to the gym every day and I mean every day for two years. The first year and half I did 30 minutes of cardio then I hit the weights for an hour. On Saturday and Sunday cardio only. I kid you not I did this non stop. I also ate clean. Not even cheat meals. I counted calories and I stayed away from fat and sugar. I also stayed away from fast and processed foods. No white bread or deep fried anything. Diet is the key to looking and being healthy.
At one time while I was trying to lose fat I was at 182. I am on a mini bulk now but will start to cut again next week. 190 is my ideal weight. I try to stay around that. I am not trying to get any bigger really. I am just trying to maintain now.
It just takes time. I am approaching three years this Nov. Stay committed and don't expect everything over night and you will be good. I think that is the big thing right there. People need to realize this is a way of life.
