Thoughts?
Idea behind it: Ganesh (Pilayar) is the remover of obstacles and Lord of success in hindu faith.. I was brought up by very religious parents and it for sure had a great influence on my life. Being the remover of obstacles and success, I wanted Ganesh to represent my younger years... I was depressed, obese and had nothing going for me in life.. I decided to start lifting, get in shape and go to college. I have my life back on track and am currently pursuing a business administration diploma. I have overcome obstacles and I found this was a great way to represent it. The mouse underneath him is symbolism for the fact that Ganesh has an elephant head (there is a hindu story behind why he has this) and elephants are dead-scared of mice... however Ganesh is always depicted with a mouse right by his side showing no fear. He also has his own broken tusk in his hand to show that nobody is perfect, not even him.
If you miscers are interested, read up on Ganesh, you'll be very englightened... There is A LOT more that I could explain but I'd rather not because I am certain of many "TL;DR" posts... haha. I am not trying to convert anybody now, just explaining my reasonining behind this tatt.
**Edit: Also.. it is NOT finished. My artist is booked 6 months in advance but I had a lot of luck with cancelled appointments.. my next appointment is in 2 months. I am getting the shoulder part finished (as you can see no lining, just a bit of bloodlines) and the inner bicep (will have Shiva and his cobra on the iner side. Lining has been done but no shading on that yet.) So far this tattoo is : 6 hours in. (2 x 2 x 4) sessions. My artist is crazy fast and came up with the drawings on the first meeting within an hour. He drew the mouse and snake (on inner bicep) directly on my arm.

Yep having shoulder and inner arm done as well. Bloodlines and lining done, just waiting for shading. Also thinking of continuing the sleeve to make it a full 3/4 sleeve... I would love a full sleeve but I'm going into business and I want to be a bit precautious.Originally Posted by RobNXS
