Since I left crossfit in '08 (Brick House san jose, ca), I cannot explain the improvements I've made. yeah, crossfit helps with cardio and overall bodily strength, but at what cost. I've always said, 'Reps over form' when it came to crossfit. Notice how the majority of crossfit exercises depend on lower back strength because when you legs and upper body fail, there's nothing left to hold the weight other than the lower back.

I have had numerous clients with tendonitis and most are coming from crossfit. The worst is when you have a 45 min session booked and they have nothing left to train except accessory muscles. Don't get me wrong, it is a great workout if you have the money, but for god sakes teach proper form. No one, and I mean no one should be able to do an olympic lift after watching a video and an hour long hands on session!! Level certifications equal false hope.
Occupy Squat RacK! I am the 1% that can break parallel.

Why workout when there's *******? It's still safer than Crossfit.

With proper form and technique, anything is possible.

Crossfit is terrible. People think that youre getting a great workout when all you really get in my opinion is tired. I think that being in a gym you can get a lot more improvement, MUCH more safe.

I'm not willing to throw the baby out with the bathwater yet - I still think there are good CF gyms and instructors out there, but they seem to be getting buried by the crappy ones.
No shoes, no shirt, and I still get service.

    Wow. LOL at that video.

I should just start chucking dumbbells across the Gym and see how far I can throw them and then call it a sport.
