Btw gangs are a strange bunch, on one hand you can understand why these kids would want to join up(failure & corruption by government officials, racism & profiling, DoE being a joke, drugs, lack of employment etc) on the other hand they have it much better than others around the world(Rwanda after the genocide, Mao's era China, Palestinians, kids growing up in present day Iraq, gangs in Rio, various machete wielding maniacs that cut off others limbs in African countries).

Compton was USA's murder capital in 2005. Things have really toned down here though since then(i guess the LA sherrifs got an earful after compton was named murder capital)

Many of the families are ran by single mothers.. And there's only so much a single mother can do without a father figure in the household.


But many of these kids these days have many thangs we didnt have back in the 90's.. Like these designer clothes. I remember back then it was all about khacki suits and Pendletons, Pumas and Chucks on the feet. Aint like that no more. Youngins these days have money cuz they out their on they grind, on they hustle..

Look mr canada, gangs dont just happen and stay put, they move, grow, they die out, where you decide to raise your kids might not be the best location 5-10-15 years from now. Plus its easier said than done to just pack your **** and move to idaho.

It's not so simple for them to move, they were born and raised there. It's much easier said than done to just pick up your stuff and move. You'd have to be financially stable and have some job waiting for you. The only reason I'd move to Idaho is to go fishing lol

Actually you'd be surprised how corrupt the LAPD are.. especially for officers that are trying to combat violence. They actually ESCALATE the gang wars..

It wasnt rare to be posted up on the block and have officers harass us, even if we werent in red or blue. It wasnt rare when a cop would come through and tell us, "Oh, the Harlems are lookin to roll through here tonight.. Better watch out". It wasnt rare when a young blk male would get pulled over just because he LOOKED like a gang member. It wasnt rare for a cop to come through, pick up a fellow gang member, harass him, throw him in the back of the cop car, and drop him off in a rival gangs' territory. That's the type of **** you'd read or hear about, but it's true.

I personally don't find it to be a bad idea to let all these gang members that ruin our society kill each other. I have NO problem with a cop dropping off a gang member at a rival gangs territory. Gang's are scum of the earth, up their with terrorists.

yea this is true. if someone in the gang has hidden talents, basketball or w/e, they usually tell them to lay off. they look out for each other and give each other money. for some people in gangs, its all they have. esp. if their parents arent making money, u have to make money some how.

well if you watch some of these vids on youtube about ms-13, you will figure out many of them were left to raise them selves, so the joined the gang, only thing that is retarted is killing innocent people insted of their rivals. although i tihnk its pointless but how else can they make money when their parents ditched them?
